Lalanne's rights were traded to Golden State from San Antonio on Thursday for Marquese Chriss, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
The trade looks like a salary dump for the Warriors, as Lalanne is unlikely to make the jump to the NBA at any point. Since being selected by the Spurs with the No. 55 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Lalanne has bounced around several different foreign leagues.

NBA Trade Deadline: Fantasy Analysis on Every Deal
March 25, 2021
The Orlando Magic were among the most active teams at the deadline Thursday, trading away Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier.
2015 Fantasy Outlook
Lalanne was drafted by the Spurs in the second round of this year's draft after completing a respectable collegiate career at UMass, where he averaged 11.6 points, 9.5 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 1.9 blocks, and 0.6 steals in 29 minutes per contest through 32 games last season. The 6-foot-9 Haitian raised eyebrows during the Portsmouth Invitational prior to this year's draft, where he pulled down 12 rebounds per game and had a measured wingspan of 7-foot-5. He followed that showing up with a solid, yet inefficient summer league, where he averaged 6.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks on 39 percent field goal shooting in 19 minutes per game. Unless the injury bug strikes the Spurs this season, it is unlikely that Lalanne will see much NBA action, as the rookie sits behind Tim Duncan, David West, LaMarcus Aldridge, Matt Bonner, Boris Diaw, and Boban Marjanovic on the frontcourt depth chart. The NBA D-League is where Lalanne will probably spend most of this season.
