Struggles as passer in bowl game
Gleason was 14-for-34 passing for 184 yards and one interception during Saturday's 16-15 loss versus Wyoming. He also had seven rushes for 42 yards.
ANALYSIS
Gleason took over the starting gig for the bowl game for Dequan Finn, who elected to enter the transfer portal and has since transferred to Baylor. The starting job under center should be open for the Rockets as a result, though Gleason didn't really give himself any advantage with his bowl-game effort. He did add 42 yards on the ground, but it wouldn't be surprising if the Rockets have an offseason competition for the starting gig in 2024.
