Angels – Ernesto Frieri, who had been under fire earlier this season, gave up three runs while retiring two batters while blowing a save for the second time this season. Frieri has been good enough of late that there will be a short memory for this appearance.

Roy Oswalt, P, COL – Oswalt's best days are behind him and he will likely face some difficulty while pitching at Coors Field. Oswalt even allowed four runs on nine hits in his debut. However, he also struck out 11 and did not issue a walk in that start. If Oswalt can limit hits a bit better than he did in 2012 (.320) he will have some use.
