I usually spend a portion of my injury column focusing on a major injury or two before breaking down multiple issues in a section know as Check Swings. However, I thought I would change things up this week with the fantasy postseason quickly approaching and rosters set to expand at the end of the month. Instead of going in-depth with a player or two, I'm providing an all Check Swings column focusing on as many different players as possible. Let's get right to it.
Jose Altuve: The reigning American League MVP remains limited by his right knee injury and was unable to begin running over the weekend. He remains limited to specifically designed rehab exercises and is not expected back before the end of the Astro's current homestand that concludes on Wednesday.
Nolan Arenado: Colorado's starting third baseman "tweaked" his shoulder while turning a double play on Friday and was limited to a pinch hitter role for the remainder of the weekend. A "tweak" is far from a definitive diagnosis, but the Rockies have downplayed the severity of the injury. Look for Arenado to see action this week after an off day on Monday.
Trevor Bauer: The Cleveland right-hander was forced out of last week's start after being struck by a line drive on his right ankle. X-rays did not reveal any substantial structural damage, though Bauer was still limping over the weekend. The Indians are confident he will make his next start on Friday, although fantasy
