Pitcher
Robbie Ray, ARI vs. PHI ($7,800): Ray has been inconsistent this season but has scored at least 23 fantasy points in nine of his last 10 games. The matchup doesn't get much better than the Phillies who as a team have a .283 wOBA against southpaws, the second-lowest mark in the league. The 22.1-percent strikeout rate works in Ray's favor as well, and he has a 2.84 ERA (0.95 WHIP) over his last three starts.
Catcher
Brian McCann, NYY vs. TEX ($3,100): While this isn't the cheapest price it's worth noting that in a 10-game slate there are 12 catchers priced at $3,000 or more. Chi Chi Gonzalez is an excellent matchup for McCann as Chi Chi had a 5.15 ERA at Triple-A this season and Yankee Stadium is one of the better hitters' parks in the game. While the shift has hurt his stats, McCann has a career .351 wOBA against right-handed pitching and has hit the majority of his home runs at home the last few seasons.
First Base
Joey Votto CIN vs. CHI ($2,200) - OK, this seems like an odd pick for a few reasons. Votto has the worst matchup of the night facing Jake Arrieta and has been in something of a slump over the last week. However, the price is just $200 more than a minimum for a player with a ton of upside. The key might be hoping that if Votto can't get to Arrieta, he should be able to get to the second tier of pitching for the Cubs. It's also worth noting that over his last six starts Arrieta has only pitched past the fifth inning three times.
Second Base
Rougned Odor TEX at NYY ($3,400): Teammate Jurickson Profar ($3,200) is another Ranger to consider Monday except for the fact he's been on the bench in favor of Prince Fielder lately. Odor's left-handed bat will play well in Yankee Stadium, and Ivan Nova has struggled recently. He has a 6.88 ERA over his last six games and has given up eight home runs over that span, as well.
Third Base
Adonis Garcia, ATL vs. CLE ($2,900) – Since being recalled from the minors, Garcia has looked much more comfortable at the dish and has been hitting in the heart of the Braves' order. He's homered in three of his last eight starts and has at least 15.4 fantasy points in five of those eight starts. The matchup against Trevor Bauer isn't the greatest, but Bauer's has been prone to the long ball in the past.
Shortstop
Brandon Crawford, SF vs. OAK ($2,900): Crawford usuall hits in a good RBI spot (either cleanup or fifth) and has a nice matchup at home against Daniel Mengden. Mengden has lost all three of his starts this season and allowed a home run in each. Crawford has heated up recently and scored at least 12.7 fantasy points in four of his last nine games. He also has a respectable .336 wOBA this season against right-handed pitching.
Outfield
Nomar Mazara, TEX vs. NYY ($2,900): Mazara is in play for the same reasons as Odor as it's always a good idea to target hitters in a game with a high over/under total but who are the underdog. The masses (outside of the Coors game) typically will flock to the Yankees' side, putting Mazara in play for both cash and GPPs. He has as much upside as anyone for Texas and owns a .357 wOBA against righties this season. Again, Ivan Nova has struggled and the Texas bats have started to heat up with warmer weather.
Alex Gordon, KC vs. STL ($2,900): Gordon's return from the DL has been successful as he's gone 3-for-9 in his two games in June that include a home run and a double. Adam Wainwright has pitched better lately but still has a 4.73 ERA and has been hit harder on the road than at home this season. Also working in Gordon's favor is that he has a .899 OPS against Wainwright and struck out only once in 21 plate appearances.
Stephen Piscotty, STL at KC ($3,300): Piscotty has been a lefty-killer this season and gets Danny Duffy in Kansas City. Piscotty has a .497 wOBA against southpaws and Duffy has given up a .334 wOBA to right-handed hitters at home this season. Piscotty should be in the cleanup spot and has recorded a double in three of his last five games.
