DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Guards

Kemba Walker, CHA vs. MIA ($8,300): There aren't many players performing like Walker right now, and his usage makes him one of the best options in fantasy. Walker ranks second in the league among regulars in usage rate at 33.5 percent while also averaging 23 shots per game. He's translated that to 49.3 DraftKings points per game. He posted similar numbers against Miami last season, averaging 44 fantasy points per game in three outings against the Heat.

Eric Gordon, HOU vs. POR ($6,100): Gordon hasn't given us much reason to use him this season but he's shown in the past that he can post elite numbers with James Harden or Chris Paul out of the lineup. Gordon posted a usage rate of 25 percent last season in those situations and averaged over 30 fantasy points per game. With James Harden (hamstring) set to miss another game Tuesday, Gordon should again be set for increased minutes against a below-average Blazers defense.

Ish Smith, DET at BOS ($4,400): Many people are overlooking Smith because he's coming off the bench but he's been way too valuable to be priced below $5,000. He's averaging more than 28 minutes per game under Dwane Casey, who's been more apt to using Smith and Reggie Jackson in tandem. Getting any point guard at $4,400 who's playing nearly 30 minutes a game is worth a look, especially if it's someone like Smith, who has averaged a fantasy point per minute throughout his career.

Forwards

Aaron Gordon, ORL vs. SAC ($6,800): Gordon is someone I rarely use for DFS purposes, but this price and matchup are simply too good to pass up. Gordon's price has dropped $1,400 over the last 10 days. While he deserved a drop with his recent play, the fact that Gordon averaged 43 fantasy points per game in his first three outings shows the sort of upside he can provide. Duplicating that production should be much easier against a Kings' defense that ranks 22nd in defensive efficiency and 28th in points allowed.

Evan Fournier, ORL vs. SAC ($5,600): Fournier has been a pleasant surprise for Orlando this season, and it's shocking that his price hasn't risen more. He's averaging 28 fantasy points per game for the season but was up closer to 40 fantasy points per game over a three-game stretch leading up to Saturday's blowout loss to Milwaukee. The matchup against Sacramento is superb, as the Kings rank bottom-10 in nearly every defensive category. If you're still scared off by Fournier, Nicolas Batum is a nice pivot at $5,200, given his solid floor.

Pascal Siakam, TOR vs. PHI ($3,900): Siakam is coming off one of the best games of his career, and he's been mostly obliterating his price tag all season long. He's coming off a 22-point, nine-rebound and four-steal line in his most recent game on Monday (44 FPTS). That's over 11X on his price, which shows just how much of a value he is at this dirt-cheap price. Using a player south of $4,000 is so huge for your lineup too, as it opens up the door to get anyone you want no matter the price.

Centers

Nikola Vucevic, ORL vs. SAC ($8,600): Vucevic is in the midst of the best season of his career, as he's posting career-high averages across the boards. In fact, Vucevic is averaging 19.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game en route to 44 DraftKings points per game. All that pairs beautifully with this matchup, considering Sacramento currently sits 28th in total defense. The fact that Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin are right in the same price range makes Vucevic the superior option, as they face a stingy Boston defense, whereas Vucevic gets a much friendlier matchup.

Jusuf Nurkic, POR at HOU ($6,000): Nurkic is coming off a dud on Monday but it has made his price too enticing to pass up. At just $6,000, Nurkic is providing plenty of value, as he's averaging 33 fantasy points per game for the season. What's really intriguing about Nurkic is his fantastic matchup, as he faces a Houston defense that sits 27th in defensive efficiency and 26th in points allowed. In addition, the Rockets are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing centers this season.
