FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday night's slate of games is interesting in that it's the last night of daily basketball contests before the All-Star break. As a result, many players will be rested, and their teammates will be given the opportunity to play. Pay attention throughout the day for updates here on RotoWire, and try to be in front of your computer right up to the 7 p.m. ET tipoff.

Wednesday Value Plays

Point Guards

Langston Galloway, NYK, $5,300 – Galloway has a nice matchup against the Magic, and he would get a boost to his fantasy value if Carmelo Anthony (knee) ends up sitting out. Galloway has been consistently getting 30-plus minutes per game as the Knicks look to develop him, and he's strung together games over 24.3, 27.3, and 30.2 fantasy points over his last three games. If you're looking for a nice mid-priced option, Galloway is a great player to target

J.J. Barea, DAL, $4,800 – While Rajon Rondo (face) has yet to be officially ruled out, it's pretty doubtful he laces up and takes the court against the Jazz. Barea has already been filling in nicely as the starting point guard with Rondo on the mend, and Barea should easily surpass the 30 minutes mark, as he has his last three games. He has at least 20 fantasy points in each of his last five games, establishing a nice floor for cash games. Devin Harris ($4500) should see plenty of minutes as well, making a good contrarian GPP option.

Shooting Guards

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL, $6,800 – It's gotten to the point where any time Giannis' price is below $7,000, he's a must play. He's developed into a fantasy stud and has played his best basketball of the season since the calendar flipped to February. Since the beginning of the month, he's had five straight games of at least 34.9 points and had a 50-burger game in that span. The home matchup Wednesday night is a good one, going against the Kings on the second night of a back-to-back set for them.

Jamal Crawford, LAC, $5,200 – The hope here is that most fantasy players are still sleeping on Crawford, who has stepped up in the absence of Blake Griffin (elbow). While it is only a two-game sample size, Crawford has played 35 and 34 minutes, parlaying that time into fantasy games of 26.9 and 29.6 FanDuel points. Wednesday's game should be up-tempo against the Rockets, and Crawford should be a top scoring option with Patrick Beverley hounding Chris Paul all game.

Small Forwards

Chandler Parsons, DAL, $6,600 – Outside of a dud against the Kings, Parsons has put together fantasy games of 36.4, 42.8, 38.8, and 33.2 FD points since missing two games due to illness. Monta Ellis (hip) is questionable, and Tyson Chandler (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's tilt. Parsons had a season-high 12 boards Monday after Chandler left, and he's a player with the ability to fill up the stat sheet when given more possessions.

Power Forwards

Thaddeus Young, MIN, $6,700 – If you prefer to follow the minutes to find fantasy production, Young is your guy. He's been finding minutes in the upper 30s and has even played 40-plus minutes in three of his last four contests. Draymond Green (ankle) hasn't been ruled out yet for the Warriors, but Steve Kerr's comments Tuesday seem to indicate that they'll err on the side of caution with Green. That means Young will likely be matched up against Marreese Speights or David Lee, a lesser defender than Green. Look for Young to be a solid fantasy contributor in a game that should be a high-scoring affair.

Mitch McGary, OKC, $4,300 – One game can be a fluke, but McGary followed up Sunday's surprise performance with another monster game Monday. He now has two fantasy games of 31 FD points and warrants some exposure Wednesday even if it's only in GPP formats. The matchup is less than ideal going against Memphis' big men, but McGary might see all of his playing time against the second unit. The cost is almost minimal here, and McGary will only need around 20 fantasy points to make him a value.

Centers

Al Horford, ATL, $8,300 – Horford has been a fantastic fantasy contributor this season, yet for some reason he always seems to be under-owned in daily fantasy. In eight of his last 10 games, he's scored at over 36 FD points and has improved his already impressive assist totals this season. Since the calendar turned to 2015, Horford has averaged over four assists per game, one of the best marks for any big man in the league. The matchup against the Celtics is excellent for anyone playing in the paint, and Horford should have a great chance at a double-double Wednesday night.
