FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

This Sunday's eight-game slate features a solid mix of sneaky players producing at a consistent level, making them more than worthy of consideration for your fantasy lineups on FanDuel. Once again, every player in today's article is available for purchase at the bargain price of under $6,000, which should help you lock a few big boys into your lineups. Here's a look at today's value plays.

Sunday Value Plays

Point Guard

Mo Williams, CHA, $5,900: Check out the numbers for Mo Williams over the past seven days: 23.3 points per game, 4.0 assists. That alone is more than enough to return value on his $5,900 price tag. Add in the fact that the Orlando Magic are below average in defending the point guard position, allowing 22.3 points per game to opposing point guards, and you have your point guard position solidified today on FanDuel.

Ray McCallum, SAC, $4,100: McCallum was a popular play when Darren Collison first left the lineup before the All-Star due to his hip injury. That value quickly diminished when new head coach George Karl decided to platoon him with Andre Miller. McCallum looks to have regained that value with a 20-point performance in 36 minutes on Friday night against the Spurs. That level of production at this price point is as good as any value play on the board today.

Shooting Guard

Wayne Ellington, LAL, $5,200: While Ellington certainly isn't a player most DFS owners are going to be excited about, he's been fairly consistent since getting the starting nod at shooting guard, scoring in double digits in five out of the last seven games, including a double-double against the Jazz (15 points, 10 rebounds) last Wednesday. Oklahoma City's defense at the shooting guard position has also dropped to the middle of the pack in the last five games with Kevin Durant out of the lineup. Ellington has a safe floor of around 25 points today in your FanDuel lineups.

Small Forward

Danilo Gallinari, DEN, $5,100: Gallinari has made the most of his opportunity as the new starting small forward in Denver, averaging 17.8 points per game and 3.3 rebounds in that span. He's also contributed 9 steals in the last five games, helping boost his overall fantasy value. Gallo also gets a prime matchup today in Quincy Pondexter, who has been thrown into the starting small forward role for the Pelicans with multiple starters out with injuries. Look for Gallinari to cash in well above his price tag against New Orleans.

Nicolas Batum, POR, $5,800: Batum has shown glimpses of his ability to stuff the stat sheet in the past few games, posting a double-double with five assists last Sunday against Memphis, and scoring 15 points with nine assists against the Spurs on Wednesday. Today, he draws Rudy Gay and the Sacramento Kings, who have been below average defensively all season, allowing 18.8 per game to opposing small forwards. Look for Batum to keep rolling on the road in Sactown.

Power Forward

Jason Thompson, SAC, $4,400: Demarcus Cousins (ankle) has been listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Portland, which means Thompson will again slide over to center this afternoon. Thompson is coming of consecutive double-double performances and managed to register four blocks against Memphis on Wednesday. Head Coach George Karl's fast pace offense has suited Thompson well, as the Kings have averaged 101.5 points per game with Karl at the helm. Thompson should have a solid opportunity to produce another double-double today against the Blazers.

Center

Jordan Hill, LAL, $5,900: The center position today is littered with injuries, one of them being Enes Kanter, who happens to be facing the LA Lakers this afternoon. Hill has managed double-digit scoring in four straight games and has a great opportunity for five in a row against the defensively-challenged combo of Nick Collison and rookie Mitch Mcgary. With both Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant out of the lineup, both Hill and the Lakers are looking at a solid opportunity to return value today on FanDuel.
