FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Several of the NBA's worst teams are in action Tuesday as the Lakers, Sixers, Nets and Pelicans will all take the court. Although there aren't really any marquee matchups Tuesday, that doesn't mean the six-game slate doesn't leave plenty of FanDuel fun to be had. Here are some of the better value plays to consider when crafting your lineup.

Point Guard
Isaiah Canaan, $4,400, PHI:
Canaan has taken over the starting point guard job for the woeful Sixers and has played at least 30 minutes in each of his last four games. While he doesn't provide a ton of assists, he has scored at least 12 points in all four of those games, resulting in no fewer than 21.7 FanDuel points. He has a favorable matchup against a defensively challenged Lakers backcourt Tuesday, making him an interesting option at this price.

Shooting Guard
J.R. Smith, $5,300, CLE:
Smith has been a workhorse for the Cavaliers as he has played at least 36 minutes in six of the last seven games. He is never shy about shooting, so there is always the potential that he could go off any given night. Considering he has recorded at least 25.5 FanDuel points in three of his last four games, I'm inclined to take a shot on him at this price Tuesday against the Wizards.

Small Forward
T.J. Warren, $4,400, PHO:
Warren is working his way into a significant role for the Suns as he has now played at least 26 minutes in each of the last four games. His last two games have been spectacular as he has posted at least 36.2 FanDuel points in both of those contests. Tuesday brings a matchup against a bad Nets team, so I'm going to roll with Warren at this price.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, $4,200, BKN: I'm on the Hollis-Jefferson bandwagon despite him only posting 8.8 FanDuel points Sunday against the Pistons. He was on a roll up to that point, posting at least 30.2 FanDuel points in three of his previous four contests. Not only has he recorded at least 10 rebounds in three of his last five games, but he has also posted at least five steals in two of his last four games. The price is right to take a chance on him Tuesday against the Suns.

Power Forward
Thaddeus Young, $6,700, BKN:
Young is not available at a bargain basement price Tuesday, but it's hard to argue against paying this low of a price for a player who has recorded at least 30.2 FanDuel points in eight of his last nine games. His defensive contributions have been tremendous as he has recorded at least one steal in each of his last nine games. When you combine that with the fact that he has posted a double-double in four of his last five games, you get a solid building block for your lineup at a reasonable price.

Markieff Morris, $5,500, PHO: Like Warren, I'm banking on Morris getting the benefit of playing a poor Nets team Tuesday. Although he has produced 17.6 FanDuel points on less in his last two games, he did record at least 24.1 FanDuel points in the previous three contests. The Nets don't play a particularly big frontcourt, which suits Morris well. With a limited slate of games, Morris is worth consideration at this price.

Center
Roy Hibbert, $5,200, LAL:
There isn't a ton of high-end talent in action at the center position Tuesday, so I'm open to taking a flier on Hibbert at this price against the Sixers. The key here is that Hibbert has recorded at least six rebounds in each of his last nine games and has recorded eight blocks over his last five games. Although you shouldn't expect huge numbers, Hibbert has posted at least 23.1 FanDuel points in seven of his last nine games, leaving him with decent value at this price Tuesday.
