FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday brings eight games on the schedule, including the Spurs against the Pistons and the Cavaliers against the Mavericks. Although some of the other matchups would appear to be lopsided affairs, that doesn't mean the evening is any less intriguing for daily players. Here are some of the better bargain plays available on FanDuel to consider when crafting your lineup.

Point Guard
Marcus Smart, BOS at NY ($4,800):
Smart might not be an elite scoring option, but he scores enough to provide value when you consider his ability to rebound and contribute defensively. Defensive stats can be gold in FanDuel and Smart has recorded at least two steals in three of his last five games. He has scored at least 23 FanDuel points in both of his last two games and is worth considering Tuesday against the Knicks at this price.

Shooting Guard
Wesley Matthews, DAL vs. CLE ($5,100):
Matthews logs a lot of playing time as he has played at least 35 minutes in three of his last four games, which gives him plenty of chances to produce. While not lethal, he has provided at least 20.6 FanDuel points in five of his last seven games. I think he is a safe play to put up respectable numbers at this price Tuesday against the Cavaliers.

Small Forward
Shabazz Muhammad, MIN vs. OKC ($3,800):
Largely flying under the radar, Muhammad has now played at least 23 minutes in five of his last six games and produced at least 20.3 FanDuel points in each of those five contests. He can score in bunches and can also contribute on the glass, so it's hard for the Timberwolves to limit his minutes if he continues to produce. There isn't a ton of risk when you are picking someone at this low of a price, so I think Muhammad has enough upside to be a good value play against the Thunder.

Power Forward
Ryan Anderson, NO at LAL ($5,500):
Anderson started in place of Anthony Davis (back) Sunday against the Clippers and produced 26 FanDuel points as a result. Although Davis is questionable to play against the Lakers Tuesday, I'd be comfortable rolling with Anderson either way. He can light a game up from behind the arc and the Lakers are a bad defensive team, so the ingredients are there for a big night.

Larry Nance Jr, LAL vs. NO ($4,400): How is Nance still priced this low? He has produced at least 20.4 FanDuel points in seven of his last nine games and has worked his way into a significant role with the Lakers. The Pelicans are not a good team by any means, leaving Nance with a good chance to out produce his small price tag Tuesday.

Center
Amir Johnson, BOS at NY ($4,900):
Johnson has really stepped up lately for the Celtics and daily players, posting at least 20.6 FanDuel points in seven of his last eight games. He has been very solid offensively, averaging 13.5 points over his last four games. While I'm not expecting an eye-popping performance Tuesday against the Knicks, he should be serviceable at this price.

Tyson Chandler, PHO at IND ($3,900): I'm not hesitant to play Chandler Tuesday against the Pacers with Alex Len (hand) already ruled out for the contest. Chandler tends to produce when given increased playing time as he has provided at least 20.7 FanDuel points in each of his last three games where he played at least 26 minutes. The last game he played over 30 minutes, he recorded 29 FanDuel points. I think Chandler could be one of the better value plays on the table at any position Tuesday.
