FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday brings a fairly light slate of games in the NBA with only 10 teams in action. Although there aren't many teams taking the court, there are still plenty of quality options to choose from when selecting your FanDuel lineup. Here are some of the better value plays to consider.

Point Guard
Brandon Jennings, ORL at PHI ($3,900):
Jennings has played 25 minutes in both of his first two games with the Magic and has posted at least 25.6 FanDuel points in both of those contests. While he didn't get many opportunities in Detroit, his trade to the Magic should allow him to have a more significant role even though he is coming off of the bench. He's dirt cheap Tuesday, making him worth considering against the Sixers.

Shelvin Mack, UTA vs. HOU ($3,700): Like Jennings, Mack has a chance for increased playing time after being dealt to the Jazz. He fared well in his debut, playing 24 minutes and posting 29.6 FanDuel points Sunday against Portland. The Jazz haven't received strong point guard play this season from Raul Neto and Trey Burke, so Mack could really carve out a nice role if he keeps this up. The price is right to take a shot on him Tuesday.

Shooting Guard
Evan Fournier, ORL at PHI ($5,400):
Fournier has been on a role lately, recording at least 27.2 FanDuel points in each of his last six games. It's no coincidence that he has played at least 32 minutes in all six of those games. Not only does he provide a lot of offense, but he has dished out 19 assists over his last four contests. There aren't any really cheap options that stick out to me at the shooting guard position Tuesday, so I'd go with Fournier if you want to save a little at the position.

Small Forward
Otto Porter, WAS vs. NO ($5,300):
Much like shooting guard, small forward doesn't really have any great extremely cheap options Tuesday. Porter does stick out as he at least gets consistent playing time, logging at least 31 minutes in five of his last six games. While he hasn't exploded for big points, he has produced at least 19.4 FanDuel points in each of those six games. He continues to excel defensively as he has at least one steal in eight of his last nine games. I'd prefer to spend extra money at small forward Tuesday for either Gordon Hayward ($7,600) or Danilo Gallinari ($7,100), but would be comfortable rolling with Porter if you need to save some money at the position.

Power Forward
Aaron Gordon, ORL at PHI ($6,100):
I know I'm loading up on Magic players Tuesday, but I just can't pass up Gordon. He has been excellent of late, recording a double-double in three of his last five games. Add in the fact that he is averaging 1.4 blocks and 2.2 steals and the result has been at least 30.3 FanDuel points in all five of those games. I'm expecting him to feast again in this one, making him worth this price.

Ryan Anderson, NO at WAS ($5,200): Anderson has taken everyone on a rollercoaster ride of late as he has posted at least 32.3 FanDuel points in two of his last five games, but only 12.1 FanDuel points or less in the other three contests. While that doesn't usually spell a recipe for success in daily contests, it should be noted that the Wizards have the league's worst opponent's three-point percentage at 38.2 percent. Anderson can be deadly from behind the arc, so he could be worth a shot in this one.

Center
Mason Plumlee, POR vs. BKN ($5,300):
Plumlee squares off against his former team Tuesday and has played well of late, posting at least 24.5 FanDuel points in both of his last two games. The key for his slight increase in value is that he has been more of a facilitator of late, recording at least five assists in both of those contests. He might be needed to log some extra minutes defending Brook Lopez in this one, so I'm willing to give him a shot at this price.
