FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

The NBA has seven games on tap Sunday, two early and five later. Most FanDuel games are split along those time lines. Two of the most interesting games are the 76ers at the Magic, and the Timberwolves on the road, on the second-half of a back-to-back, against the rested Mavericks. There could be some nice points put on the board on Sunday.

Point Guard

Ish Smith, PHI at ORL ($6,400): Smith averages about 30 fantasy points per game, but he is volatile enough that over his last 10 games he has scored as few as 5.7 or as many as 41.5. He faced the Magic less than a week ago, finishing with 22 points and five assists, and since their defense struggles guarding point guards, he could replicate or better those numbers Sunday.

Shooting Guard

Victor Oladipo, ORL vs. PHI ($6,800): Oladipo has been money for the Magic of late, averaging 17.2 points, 7.2 boards, 4.0 assists and 2.2 steals per game over his last five. On Sunday, he faces a 76ers defense that is 21st against shooting guards this season.

Small Forward

Chandler Parsons, DAL vs. MIN ($6,600): Parsons is the man in Dallas. He seemed to burn out a bit entering the All-Star break, but has come out of the break averaging 24.0 points with 4.5 treys, 2.5 boards, 2.0 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals per game over his last two. On Sunday, he has a good matchup against a weak 76ers wing defense.

Power Forward

Dirk Nowitzki, DAL vs. MIN ($7,000): Nowitzki has sipped from the fountain of youth lately, averaging 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game over his past three. After not playing Saturday, Nowitzki has a Sunday matchup against Gorgui Dieng, who isn't quick enough to handle him on the perimeter.

Aaron Gordon, ORL vs. PHI ($6,300): Gordon has scored at least 30 fantasy points in eight straight games, going back to his increased role with Tobias Harris first injured then traded. On Sunday, he faces a 76ers defense that allows the most fantasy points per game to power forwards this season.

Center

Nikola Vucevic, ORL vs. PHI ($8,200): Vucevic is yet another player from the Magic-76ers game. He has averaged 22 points, 10.4 boards, 2.4 assists and 1.0 blocks per game over his past five. On Sunday, he faces a weak 76ers interior defense that ranks 24th against opposing centers.

Hassan Whiteside, MIA at NYK ($8,200): Whiteside has scored at least 40 fantasy points in five straight games, including three over 50 fantasy points. On Saturday, he had13 points, 15 boards and eight blocked shots in 33 minutes off the bench.
