FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday will be a busy night in the NBA with nine games on the schedule. Although there aren't too many marque matchups, there are plenty of excellent teams in action with the Warriors, Spurs, Clippers and Raptors all playing. These are the kind of nights that can lead to some fun FanDuel lineups. Here are some of the better value plays to consider for your squad.

Point Guard
Toney Douglas, NO at SA ($5,700):
Even if you aren't a fan of the team, you have to feel bad for the Pelicans for all of the injuries they are dealing with. Now add Jrue Holiday (eye) to the list of players out for the season. There aren't many healthy players left on the team at this point, leaving Douglas primed for increased playing time. Douglas has thrived with extra playing time, recording at least 26.2 FanDuel points in each of the last six games where he played at least 29 minutes. Look for him to provide plenty of value at this price Wednesday.

J.J. Barea, DAL vs NY ($5,000): Speaking of injuries, Barea could be in line for increased playing time again Wednesday as Deron Williams (abdomen) is still without a timetable for a return. Barea has played very well of late, providing at least 24.6 FanDuel points in five of his last seven games. He has been particularly hot of late, scoring at least 14 points and dishing out at least five assists in three of his last four games. I'm expecting a nice performance here against a bad Knicks team.

Shooting Guard
Josh Richardson, MIA at LAL ($5,100):
Richardson has seen increased playing time of late, logging at least 32 minutes in six of his last nine games. He normally takes full advantage of those minutes as he recorded at least 26.4 FanDuel points in five of those six games. He gets a juicy matchup against the horrible Lakers defense Wednesday, possibly making him one of the better value plays of the evening.

Small Forward
P.J. Tucker, PHO at MIL ($4,700):
I tend to like Tucker on most nights because even though he might not always be a home run play, he doesn't throw up too many clunkers either. He has really out produced his price point of late, providing at least 30.5 FanDuel points in three of his last five games. Although he's not an elite scoring option, he scores enough when you take into consideration the fact that he has grabbed at least six rebounds in five of his last six games. I'll take him again Wednesday at this cheap price.

Kyle Anderson, SA vs NO ($4,200): It's hard to imagine that the Pelicans will be able to stay in Wednesday's game against the Spurs for too long, meaning lots of garbage time for Anderson. Anderson has played at least 30 minutes in both of his last two games, providing no fewer than 21.5 FanDuel points in either contest. He is priced so low that I'm willing to take a shot on him to play enough Wednesday to be valuable.

Power Forward
Willie Cauley-Stein, SAC vs WAS ($5,000):
Cauley-Stein has been a monster of late, providing at least 30.4 FanDuel points in each of his last three games. Although he is mostly known for his rebounding and defensive abilities, his recent increase in production is largely a result of scoring at least 13 points in all three of those games. The Kings are pretty much out of the playoff hunt, so look for them to give Cauley-Stein another chance to put up big numbers Wednesday.

Center
Robin Lopez, NY at DAL ($5,800):
Lopez continues to be a valuable member of the Knicks starting lineup and has recorded at least 26.4 FanDuel points in four of his last six games. Lopez could feast against the Mavericks Wednesday as they not only struggle to defend players in the post, but they are also giving up the fourth most defensive rebounds per game in the NBA. While not the cheapest option at center, Lopez should still provide plenty of value.
