FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday brings a packed night in the NBA with 11 games on the schedule. Don't be overwhelmed, that just means more quality choices for your lineup. Let's take a look at some players across the price scale who you should consider for your squad.

Chris Paul, LAC vs. DEN ($9,600):Blake Griffin (knee) is going to be out for a while, leaving Paul with more of a burden to score. His scoring is down this season, as he is averaging 17.6 points per game, but I wouldn't be surprised if he scores at least 20 points regularly with Griffin out. He has already been excellent this season by averaging 40.7 fantasy points per game, so I like his chances to put up a big night against the Nuggets.

Evan Fournier, ORL at MIA ($5,800): Fournier can be frustrating because sometimes he looks like he can't be stopped, but other times he really struggles to find his stroke. Most of his value comes on the offensive end, as he is only averaging 2.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.0 steals to go along with 17.4 points per game. He had a stretch about a week ago when he scored at least 36.2 fantasy points in three straight games, showing what he can do when he's locked in. I think the price is right to give him a shot Tuesday against the Heat.

T.J. McConnell, PHI vs. NO ($4,000): Let me start off by saying I probably like McConnell in general more than most people. He's clearly a pass-first point guard, as he is averaging 4.8 assists in only 19.5 minutes per game this season. He started a game last week with Sergio Rodriguez out and came away with 40.5 fantasy points. He has played at least 20 minutes in all three games since then, so that performance may have earned him some extra run.

LeBron James, CLE at MIL ($10,400):Kevin Love (knee) is out Tuesday, leaving some extra shots on the table for LeBron and company. James is on fire of late, scoring at least 51.6 fantasy points in three of his last for games. As I've said before, it's pretty easy to make a case for playing him every night, and I'd roll with him again Tuesday against the Bucks.

Serge Ibaka, ORL at MIA ($6,100): Ibaka had a rough outing Sunday against the Raptors, but had scored at least 36.8 fantasy points in three of four games heading into that contest. Known for his defense, Ibaka is averaging 14.7 points per game this season, which would be his highest average since 2013-14. The Heat don't have a ton of quality big men, so I like this matchup for Ibaka.

Marreese Speights, LAC vs. DEN ($4,400): With Griffin out, Speights might be the player who benefits the most, as he should see more minutes. He tends to come through when he gets more playing time, as he has scored at least 36.4 fantasy points in both of the last two games when he played at least 22 minutes. He might be the best cheap option available at any position Tuesday.

DeMarcus Cousins, SAC vs. POR ($11,200): Cousins continues to be a monster this season, as he is averaging 48.5 fantasy points per game. Not only is he averaging 10.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.4 blocks per game, but he is also averaging a career-high 28.3 points. He scored 51.3 fantasy points in a matchup with Portland earlier this season and I'd be surprised if he doesn't go off again.

Myles Turner, IND at NY ($6,300): I think this is a nice matchup for Turner, as the Knicks don't really have anyone at the five who can match up with him athletically. Joakim Noah is a tough veteran, but he's a shell of the player he once was. Turner has also played well of late, scoring at least 32.4 fantasy points in four of his last five games.

Nene Hilario, HOU vs. SA ($4,100):Clint Capela (leg) is going to be out for an extended period, opening up some extra playing time for Nene. The last two times Nene played at least 19 minutes, he came away with at least 21.2 fantasy points in both contests. He's unlikely to have a huge night, but you shouldn't expect that from someone at this price. If you need to pinch your pennies at center, I'd try Nene.
