FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

The NBA follows up a busy Tuesday night with eight games on the schedule for Wednesday. There are some great teams in action as the Cavaliers, Grizzlies, Thunder and Rockets will all take the floor. The only way to make the evening even more fun is to pair it with a winning FanDuel lineup. Let's take a look at some players to consider for your entry.

Russell Westbrook, OKC at NO ($12,500): I know his high salary limits what you can do with the rest of your lineup, but he has posted at least 67.7 FanDuel points in both of his last two games and is averaging 57.7 FanDuel points a game this season overall. Being able to pencil in production like that is huge. I expect him to have a big night Wednesday against the Pelicans.

Zach LaVine, MIN at ATL ($6,500): The Tom Thibodeau effect has been in full force for LaVine this season as he is averaging 38 minutes per game, up 10 minutes from last season. He has cashed in as a result, averaging 20.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 0.8 steals per game. It's always nice to have a guy you can count on for big minutes in your lineup. After posting at least 29.4 FanDuel points in three of his last four games, I like LaVine in this contest.

Brandon Knight, PHO vs HOU ($4,700): The Rockets are going to be playing a lot of small lineups with Clint Capela (leg) out of action. As a result, Knight might get a little extra run in this game. Knight tends to produce when given extended playing time as he has posted at least 26.4 FanDuel points in each of the last three games where he played at least 27 minutes. His price is low enough Wednesday where I think he is worth the risk.

Jimmy Butler, CHI vs WAS ($8,400): Butler has been in a slump for his standards, posting no more than 35.6 FanDuel points in any of his last three games. Don't let that scare you off, though, as Butler played only 30 minutes in two of those games due to the games being blowouts. He absolutely crushed the Wizards the first time they met this season, posting 64.1 FanDuel points.

Markieff Morris, WAS at CHI ($5,300): Morris is a really streaky player. In his last five games, he posted at least 37.3 FanDuel points twice and 23.6 FanDuel points or fewer in the other three games. While it's tough to roll with someone who can be so hit-or-miss, it also can give you the opportunity to get a big performance for a relatively cheap price. Morris was spectacular earlier this season when these same two teams met, as he posted 24 points, 15 rebounds, two assists and three blocks. I'm expecting to see the good side of Morris again Wednesday.

Jon Leuer, DET vs MEM ($4,800): The Pistons was crushed by the Bulls on Monday and coach Stan Van Gundy said changes are coming. Don't be surprised if that leads to more playing time for Leuer, who has posted at least 31 FanDuel points in two of his last three games. He's averaging 11.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in only 27 minutes per game, so an increase in playing time could lead to some valuable stats. I'm very comfortable playing him at this price.

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN at ATL ($9,000): Towns is on a roll of late as he has recorded at least 48.6 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. Not only is he a double-double machine, but he has six blocks over his last three games. Like LaVine, Towns is seeing heavy playing time as he is averaging 35 minutes per game this season. He's expensive for sure, but I think he's worth it in this contest against the Hawks.

Marcin Gortat, WAS at CHI ($6,300): I just can't get enough of Gortat. The Wizards don't have much depth behind him, resulting in Gortat averaging a career-high 36 minutes per game this season. The results have been excellent, as he is averaging 11.4 points, 11.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. He played very well against the Bulls in their first matchup this season, posting 37.8 FanDuel points.

Robin Lopez, CHI vs WAS ($4,900): If you've read anything I have written previously, it won't come as a shock that I like a good center battle. While neither has flashy name value, Lopez against Gortat is a good one. Lopez has been a steady presence down low for the Bulls as he is averaging 9.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. He also had a nice performance when these two teams met earlier this season, coming away with 29.1 FanDuel points. If you want to save money at center, go with Lopez.
