FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday brings eight games on the NBA schedule, headlined by matchups between the Jazz versus the Celtics and the Raptors versus the Spurs. Although the other games aren't great matchups, there are still plenty of great options available for your FanDuel lineup. Looks take a look at some of the stronger plays on the board.

Mike Conley, MEM at LAL ($7,000): The really expensive guards worry me Tuesday as Isaiah Thomas has a tough matchup against the Jazz, and both Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan have to face the tough Spurs defense. While John Wall gets to play the Mavericks, there is the risk that a blowout could limit his minutes. Therefore, I'm going with Conley who put up 36.1 FanDuel points in his last game Saturday against the Kings. He has a nice matchup against the Lakers on Tuesday and I think he will post a big stat line.

Josh Richardson, MIA at PHO ($5,900): Hassan Whiteside (eye) and Justise Winslow (shoulder) have already been ruled out for this game and although Goran Dragic (back) is expected to return, the Heat will still need Richardson's offense in this game. Richardson has posted at least 29.2 FanDuel points in each of his last four games. Not only did he score at least 14 points in each of those four games, but he also totaled eight steals and three blocks over that stretch. The price is right to roll with him again Tuesday.

T.J. McConnell, PHI vs MIN ($4,600): Sergio Rodriguez (ankle) is doubtful to play Tuesday, which would move McConnell back into the starting lineup. McConnell was excellent in his last start, providing 17 points and eight assists on his way to 29.4 FanDuel points. The Timberwolves are not a great defensive team either, so I really like McConnell as a cheap value play.

Paul George, IND at DET ($7,800): George gas struggled a bit of late as he has posted 28.5 or fewer FanDuel points in two of his last four games. That isn't scaring me off Tuesday, though, as he put up 43.4 FanDuel points earlier this season against the Pistons. He's having a great season overall, averaging 22.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game. I think he will produce enough in this contest to warrant his high price tag.

Gorgui Dieng, MIN at PHI ($5,600): The Sixers could have Joel Embiid, Jahlil Okafor (hamstring) and Nerlens Noel all available Tuesday, so the Timberwolves are going to really need Dieng to battle with them down low. Dieng has been productive of late, recording at least 28.8 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. I think he is the best mid-tier priced option at power forward for the evening.

Robert Covington, PHI vs MIN ($5,100): Covington can be a scary DFS option as he's usually either really hot or really cold. However, he was great in his last game against the Nuggets Friday as he came away with 31.7 FanDuel points. I think he could put up similar production against the Timberwolves Tuesday based on their poor defense, so I'm inclined to give him a shot at this price.

DeMarcus Cousins, SAC at DEN ($11,200): Cousins continues to crush opponents, having posted at least 50.6 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. Although he's expensive, he's usually a safe expensive play based on how many minutes he plays and how important he is to his team's offense. The Nuggets have a lot of size up front, but none of them scare me away from playing Cousins.

Joel Embiid, PHI vs MIN ($7,200): Embiid continues to roll along when he plays and has come away with at least 36.1 FanDuel points in each of his last three games. The good news is he played at least 28 minutes in all three of those games. Every extra minute he can play is huge considering how productive he is when he is on the floor. Don't expect the Timberwolves to provide him with much resistance, making him a strong option at this price.

Andrew Bogut, DAL vs WAS ($4,100): If you are playing in a tournament contest, you know you have to take a risk somewhere to have a real chance to cash in big. While I'm not expecting massive production, I think Bogut could top 20 FanDuel points in this game against the Wizards. The Mavericks are going to need him to battle with Marcin Gortat as Gortat plays a lot of minutes and is a handful down low. Bogut is a risky play, but I think he has the potential to out-produce his price point.
