FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday brings a full night of action in the NBA as there are nine games on the schedule, highlighted by the Thunder against the Warriors. The Raptors, Grizzlies, Celtics and Rockets will all be in action as well, leaving some great options for your FanDuel lineup. Let's take a look at some of the better value plays to consider across various price tiers:

Isaiah Thomas, BOS vs NY ($9,700): Thomas continues to lead the Celtics as he has scored at least 27 points in eight of his last nine games. While he is averaging 40.3 FanDuel points per game this season, he has been even better of late, posting at least 44 FanDuel points in six of his last nine games. The Knicks are a mess, so I doubt they will be the ones to shut down Thomas on Wednesday. Look for another big performance in this contest.

Nicolas Batum, CHA vs POR ($7,400): Batum squares off against his old team Wednesday and has provided at least 31 FanDuel points in 10 of his last 11 games. He continues to produce across the board, as he is averaging 15.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game this season. Portland is a bad defensive squad, so expect Batum to provide plenty of value in this one.

Malcolm Brogdon, MIL at HOU ($5,300): Brogdon has run away with the starting point guard job for the Bucks and has provided at least 30.7 FanDuel points in four of his last seven games. Not only does he provide solid offensive production, but he has also recorded at least two steals in four of his last five games. This could be a high scoring affair, so I like Brogdon considering his cheap price Wednesday.

Kevin Durant, GS vs OKC ($10,400): Durant had a big game against the Thunder earlier this season when he scored 39 points to go along with seven rebounds, one assist and one block. The Warriors have played in some blowouts of late, but Durant has still managed to provide at least 44.7 FanDuel points in five of his last six games. Look for him to go off against his former team again Wednesday.

Tobias Harris, DET vs ATL ($6,000): Harris is averaging 26.7 FanDuel points per game this season, but he has been better of late by posting at least 29.6 FanDuel points in nine of his last 12 games. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) looks like his is going to miss this game Wednesday against the Hawks, leaving more of the scoring burden on Harris. I think he is in line for a big night and is one of the better mid-tier priced options on the evening.

Jerami Grant, OKC at GS ($3,600): Steven Adams (concussion) is expected to be out again Wednesday, meaning Grant could replace him in the starting lineup for the second game in a row. He came through Monday against the Clippers as he played 34 minutes and provided 24.1 FanDuel points. With the small lineups the Warriors deploy, this has the makings of heavy minutes again for Grant. He's dirt cheap and I like his chances to at least match his production from Monday, leaving him as a viable option to consider.

Joel Embiid, PHI vs TOR ($8,400): Embiid sat out Tuesday's practice to rest, but he is considered probable to play Wednesday. When Embiid plays, he produces as he has come away with at least 40.1 FanDuel points in five of his last seven games. He's one of the most productive players in the league considering his minutes restrictions and I don't see any reason why he won't have another great night against the Raptors.

Marcin Gortat, WAS vs MEM ($5,800): Gortat has seen a dip in his production lately as he has provided 25.4 FanDuel points or less in five straight games. Even with that poor stretch though, he is still averaging 29.1 FanDuel points per game on the season. I think he'll play big minutes Wednesday as he tries to slow Marc Gasol, so he'll have an opportunity to bounce back in a big way. The good news is, his recent struggles have lowered his price for this contest.

Cody Zeller, CHA vs POR ($5,100): Zeller has put together back-to-back solid performances as he has recorded at least 13 points, eight rebounds and one block in both of his last two games. He is averaging career-highs this season in points (10.9), rebounds (6.4), blocks (1.1) and minutes (27) per game. While those numbers aren't massive, that's valuable production from a player this cheap. I'd take a chance on Zeller if you want to save money at center.
