FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday brings a packed night in the NBA with 10 games on the schedule. Lots of games means lots of unique lineup possibilities on FanDuel. Let's take a look at some players in various price tiers that you should want to target for your entry.

Russell Westbrook, OKC at NO ($12,500): It's tough to fit a player who costs this much into a lineup, but Westbrook has been worth it. He has recorded a triple-double in five of his last six games and has scored at least 62.5 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. Hard to argue against those numbers.

Dion Waiters, MIA at BKN ($6,000): Tyler Johnson (shoulder) has missed the team's last two games and will be out again Wednesday. Waiters has excelled in his absence, scoring at least 40.1 FanDuel points in both of those games. The Nets are allowing their opponents to score an average of 114.8 points per game this season, so look for Waiters to stay hot Wednesday.

Ty Lawson, SAC at CLE ($4,500): Lawson hasn't played more than 23 minutes in any of his last three games, but he still managed to score at least 26.3 FanDuel points in two of those three contests. The Kings need someone to help take the scoring load off of DeMarcus Cousins with Rudy Gay (Achilles) out for the season, and Lawson might be one of those options as he has scored at least 13 points in six of his last nine games. Lawson scored 24.8 FanDuel points against the Cavaliers earlier this season and is worth consideration Wednesday at this cheap price.

Jimmy Butler, CHI vs. ATL ($9,500): Butler laid an egg against these same Hawks last week as he only scored 21.5 FanDuel points in a lopsided affair. However, that game was in Atlanta and the Bulls are a bad road team. The Bulls have won two in a row at home and Butler has scored at least 37.5 FanDuel points in both of those contests. If the Bulls can keep the game close, expect Butler to see heavy minutes as he is averaging 37 minutes per game this season.

Dirk Nowitzki, DAL vs. NY ($5,500): Dirk hasn't put up monster numbers, but he has scored at least 27 FanDuel points in five of his last seven games. He has a couple of things working in his favor Wednesday as the Knicks are not only allowing 108.2 points per game this season, but they are also only 8-15 on the road. This should be a fun battle between Dirk and Kristaps Porzingis.

Nerlens Noel, PHI at MIL ($4,100): Noel started Tuesday against the Clippers and exploded for 45.1 FanDuel points. Not only did he just miss a double-double with 19 points and eight rebounds, but he was a major contributor defensively with three blocks and two steals. Joel Embiid (knee) will sit again Wednesday and Jahlil Okafor (knee) is uncertain to play as well, making Noel a solid option at this dirt cheap price.

Marc Gasol, MEM vs. TOR ($8,400): Gasol is averaging 36.5 FanDuel points per game this season, but has been even better of late, as he has scored at least 41.7 FanDuel points in each of his last four games. One of the main reasons for his increased production is that he averaged 28 points per game over that stretch, compared to 20.1 points per game for the season. The Grizzlies are only averaging 99.7 points per game as a team, so they'll need Gasol to score all he can against the high-powered Raptors.

Mason Plumlee, POR vs. LAL ($6,500): Plumlee continues to fly under the radar, but his production should not go unnoticed as he has scored at least 31.9 FanDuel points in three of his last five games. He has been a blocks machine lately, rejecting at least two shots in seven of his last eight games. Throw in the fact that he is averaging 4.3 assists per game this season out of the center position and his versatility provides plenty of opportunities to be productive.

Tristan Thompson, CLE vs. SAC ($4,700): Thompson has not played well lately as he has scored 17 or fewer FanDuel points in three of his last four games. However, he scored 21.8 FanDuel points in a matchup against the Kings earlier this season, and the Cavaliers are going to need him to do battle with DeMarcus Cousins again Wednesday. His cheap price makes him worth a shot if you need to save money at center.
