FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday brings a packed schedule in the NBA as 20 teams will be in action. There are a lot of options to choose from for you FanDuel entry as a result, so let's dive right in and look at some of the better options available.

DeMar DeRozan, TOR vs. CHA ($9,200): DeRozan continues to play heavy minutes down the stretch as he has played at least 36 minutes in five of his last six games. He has really exploded offensively of late, scoring at least 36 points in three of his last four games. He's tough to slow down when he is in a groove like this, making him a viable option even at this high price Wednesday.

Elfrid Payton, ORL vs. OKC ($7,200): The Magic have been terrible this season, but Payton has been one of their lone bright spots as he is averaging 12.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He has provided consistent production of late, scoring at least 33.6 FanDuel points in six of his last eight games. While you shouldn't expect a big offensive explosion, Payton's ability to contribute across the board makes him a valuable option Wednesday.

Wesley Matthews, DAL at NO ($4,600): Matthews has been playing heavy minutes lately as he has played at least 33 minutes in each of his last five games. Although he doesn't provide much scoring, he has still managed to score at least 21.8 FanDuel points in four of the last five games. He gets to face a Pelicans squad Wednesday that allows the eighth most FanDuel points to opposing shooting guards, making him worth a shot at this cheap price.

Anthony Davis, NO vs. DAL ($11,700): Davis has been hot of late as he has scored at least 52.5 FanDuel points in each of his last three games. He is coming off of a monster game Monday against the Jazz where he posted 71.9 FanDuel points. This matchup against the Mavericks bodes well for Davis as he scored 59.8 FanDuel points against them in a game a little over a month ago. Look for him to come through again Wednesday.

Robert Covington, PHI vs. ATL ($6,700): Covington had his way with the Nets on Tuesday as he scored 45.1 FanDuel points. The Nets allow the most FanDuel points to opposing small forwards, so this wasn't terribly shocking. Wednesday could be another productive day for Covington as he faces the team who allows the second most FanDuel points to opposing small forwards in the Hawks.

Ersan Ilyasova, ATL at PHI ($4,800): Ilyasova posted a double-double on his way to 33.9 FanDuel points Tuesday against the Suns and has now scored at least 30.1 FanDuel points in back-to-back contests. With Paul Millsap (knee) out of action, Ilyasova is getting plenty of opportunities to produce. It's hard to pass him up at this discounted price Wednesday.

Rudy Gobert, UTA at SAC ($9,100): Gobert is one of the hottest players in the league right now as he has scored at least 50.3 FanDuel points in four of his last six games. Not only is he an excellent rebounder and shot blocker, but he has also scored at least 20 points in each of his last three games. He crushed the Kings on his way to 56.1 FanDuel points in a game against them earlier this month, making him a great option again Wednesday.

Dwight Howard, ATL at PHI ($7,200): Howard may not be the flashy option that he once was, but it's hard to argue with his production as he has scored at least 31.5 FanDuel points in each of his last six games. Although he is not blocking shots at his normal rate, he has recorded a double-double in each of his last seven games. He has an excellent matchup Wednesday against the Sixers as they allow the most FanDuel points to opposing centers.

Steven Adams, OKC at ORL ($4,800): Adams has not been especially productive lately as he has scored 21.7 FanDuel points or less in each of his last four games. However, he gets to face the Magic Wednesday and they allow the ninth most FanDuel points to opposing centers. Adams is averaging 24.9 FanDuel points per game on the season overall and is an intriguing option Wednesday if you need a cheap center.
