DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Saturday will be a busy day in the NBA with 10 games on the schedule. With two games starting earlier in the day, the main slate on DraftKings will consist of eight games. Here are some of the players you want to consider to hopefully end your night a winner.

Guards

Damian Lillard, POR vs. HOU ($8,700): Lillard is racing his way towards the top spot in the NBA in terms of minutes played as he's averaging 37 minutes per game. While it's hard to believe, he's playing even more than that lately as he has logged at least 40 minutes in four of his last five games. With at least 41.8 DraftKings points in six of his last seven games, Lillard is another excellent option Saturday.

Kris Dunn, CHI vs. NY ($5,900): The Bulls traded for Dunn with the intention of making him their point guard of the future and while he struggled some to start the season, he's starting to show why he was thought of so highly out of college. He is coming off one of his best games of the season Friday against the Hornets when he scored 20 points to go along with six rebounds, 12 assists and three steals. The Knicks allow the sixth-most DraftKings points per game (48.5) to opposing point guards, making Dunn a viable option at this reasonable price.

Bryn Forbes, SA at PHO ($3,600): The Spurs are playing the second night of a back-to-back Saturday and have already said they will be resting multiple players. Manu Ginobili will not play and Danny Green (groin) left Friday's game early, so it would seem unlikely that he will play either. Forbes started one game against the Bulls earlier this season, scoring 20.5 DraftKings points. With a potentially big role against a horrid Suns defense Saturday, Forbes is a cheap option with upside.

Forwards

Kristaps Porzingis, NY at CHI ($8,400): The Bulls are not particularly good at defending power forwards as they allow the tenth-most DraftKings points per game (47.8) to the position. Marvin Williams of the Hornets scored 34.8 DraftKings points against them Friday, so imagine what Porzingis could do? This could shape up to be one of his best games of the season, making him a strong option for your entry.

Courtney Lee, NY at CHI ($5,400): Lee continues to take on more of an offensive role with Tim Hardaway Jr. (leg) out of action, having scored at least 19 points in two of three games since he was injured. If it were not for a blowout loss against the Pacers where he played only 20 minutes, his numbers in Hardaway's absence could look even better. This a very reasonable price based on Lee's role and potential against the lowly Bulls.

Al-Farouq Aminu, POR vs. HOU ($4,300): Aminu came off his minutes restriction for the first time since returning from injury Tuesday against the Washington Wizards, scoring 27 DraftKings points in 36 minutes. He was likely to have a big role Saturday anyways considering the small lineups the Rockets use, but the Trail Blazers will really need him to produce with center Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) out of action. At this price, he might be well worth the risk.

Centers

Nikola Vucevic, ORL at ATL ($8,300): Vucevic destroyed the Hawks for 61.5 DraftKings points Wednesday, which is not a big surprise considering the amount of injuries in the Atlanta frontcourt. Vucevic should have a bigger role than normal in the Magic's offense Saturday with Aaron Gordon (concussion) already ruled out, making him a juicy option for your entry.

Dwight Howard, CHA vs. LAL ($7,600): The Hornets are dealing with multiple injuries up front, leaving Howard to log 43 minutes in an overtime loss to the Bulls Friday. He was dominant, scoring 67.5 DraftKings points. Although it's tough to play such heavy minutes again on the second night of a back-to-back, the Hornets might not have a choice. Howard has scored at least 20 points and grabbed at least 10 rebounds in five of his last nine games, making him a great option again Saturday.

Ed Davis, POR vs. HOU ($4,200): With Nurkic (ankle) out, Davis should receive extra playing time at center Saturday. While the Rockets like to use a lot of small lineups, someone is still going to have to deal with Clint Capela. Davis is an excellent rebounder as he is averaging 7.0 boards in only 17 minutes per game. With extra minutes on tap, he's a viable option if you want to save money at center.
