DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

All NBA teams will be off Sunday, leaving Saturday packed with 13 games. One game has an early start, leaving 12 games to choose from for the main slate on DraftKings. Here are some players to consider for your entry to hopefully bring home some money and make the off day Sunday even sweeter.

Guards

Kyrie Irving, BOS vs. CHI ($8,800): Irving has clearly been the main man on the Celtics after playing second fiddle to LeBron James on the Cavaliers, posting the seventh-highest usage rate (31.9%) in the league this season. It's made him a consistent DFS option, scoring at least 32 DraftKings points in nine of his last 10 games. The Bulls are playing smaller and at a faster pace now with Nikola Mirotic back, so look for Irving to have plenty of chances to produce Saturday.

Josh Richardson, MIA vs. NO ($6,400): The Heat have been decimated by injuries, opening up a big role for Richardson. He has cashed in the opportunity, scoring at least 42.5 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. The Pelicans play at the sixth-fastest pace (102.2) and allow the second-most points per game (111.4) in the league, making Richardson an excellent option again Saturday as the Heat continue to deal with a limited roster.

Shabazz Napier, POR at LAL ($5,100): The Trail Blazers were without Damian Lillard (hamstring) Friday against the Nuggets, opening up extended playing time for Napier. He ended up playing 37 minutes and scored 33 DraftKings points, but it could have been even better had he not shot 6-for-15 from the field. Lillard is not expected to play again Saturday, which is great news for Napier as the Lakers play at the fastest pace (104.6) in the league.

Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at CHA ($11,100): Giannis had a relatively quiet game by his standards Friday against these same Hornets, scoring 44.8 DraftKings points. He played 37 minutes in that contest, marking the ninth straight game that he has seen at least that much playing time. His 32.7% usage rate is sixth-best in the league, so expect him to be one of the safer, expensive options again Saturday.

Kyle Kuzma, LAL vs. POR ($6,700): Simply put, Kuzma is on fire. He's played at least 40 minutes in three straight games, scoring at least 53.5 DraftKings points in the last two contests. With Brook Lopez (ankle) out, he should continue to get extended minutes going forward. His price is going to get pretty high if he plays anywhere close to this going forward, so you might want to take advantage of him at a reasonable price against the Trail Blazers while you still can.

Frank Kaminsky, CHA vs. MIL ($3,900): The Hornets lost Dwight Howard (finger) early in Friday's game, leaving Kaminsky to play 30 minutes. He came through with 27.3 DraftKings points, marking only the third time in his last seven games that he scored at least 20 DraftKings points. Howard might not be able to play Saturday, making Kaminsky a great value play at this price if he indeed can't go.

Centers

DeMarcus Cousins, NO at MIA ($10,800): This game could get ugly for the Heat. Among their injuries is star center Hassan Whiteside (knee), leaving them with very little size to battle with Cousins. Cousins has the second-highest usage rate (33.9%) in the league, resulting in at least 41.3 DraftKings points in 12 straight games. He could be in for a dominant performance Saturday.

Myles Turner, IND vs. BKN ($6,500): Turner may not be a consistent scorer at this stage of his career, but he provides a lot of value defensively as he has at least two blocks in six of his last eight games. The Nets struggle to defend centers, allowing the fourth-most DraftKings points per game (55.4) to the position. Turner scored 30.5 DraftKings points in a game against them last week, making him an option to consider for your entry.

Jordan Bell, GS vs. DEN ($4,300): Bell started in place of Zaza Pachulia (shoulder) Friday and was dominant, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds on his way to 42 DraftKings points. He did that in only 25 minutes, showing he has upside when given the chance to produce. Pachulia may not be able to play again Saturday against the Nuggets and if he doesn't, Bell could provide excellent value at this price.
