FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Monday brings seven games on the NBA schedule, but most of the elite teams in the league will not be in action. There are still plenty of great options for your FanDuel entry though, so here are some players to consider when crafting your entry.

Guards

Bradley Beal, WAS at IND ($8,400): Beal has played very well with John Wall (knee) injured, scoring at least 45.6 FanDuel points in three straight games. He's provided excellent all-around numbers, averaging 22.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 7.7 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in those three contests. His usage rate should continue to be high with Wall sidelined, making Beal an excellent option to consider Monday.

Ricky Rubio, UTA at NO ($7,000): Rubio is on a hot streak right now, scoring at least 30.5 FanDuel points in five straight games. Not only did he dish out nine assists in his last game Saturday, but he also scored 34 points against a tough Spurs defense. The Pelicans play at the fifth-fastest pace (101.7 possessions per game) in the league, which could provide Rubio with added opportunities to provide value again Monday.

De'Aaron Fox, SAC vs. CHI ($5,800): Fox has been one of the primary beneficiaries of the Kings' long-overdue youth movement, logging at least 30 minutes in seven of his last nine games. His numbers don't jump off the page, but he averaged a respectable 15.6 points, 4.9 assists and 1.0 steal in those seven contests. Monday brings a favorable matchup against the Bulls, who really struggle to defend point guards, allowing the fifth-most FanDuel points per game (47.7) to the position. At this reasonable price, Fox is someone to consider for your entry.

Forwards

Blake Griffin, DET vs. POR ($9,100): Griffin struggled from the field Saturday against the Heat, finishing just 6-of-19 for the game. He still managed to grab nine rebounds and dish out seven assists, however, resulting in 37.3 FanDuel points. He's not going to shoot that poorly often and can contribute across the board on a nightly basis, giving him a high floor in DFS. Look for him to have a better performance in this game against the Trail Blazers.

Bobby Portis, CHI at SAC ($5,800): Portis has seen an increased role offensively lately, attempting at least 13 shots in three of the last four games. With Nikola Mirotic now in New Orleans, that should be a trend that continues for Portis moving forward. The Kings struggle to defend opposing big men, so Portis could provide valuable production Monday.

Danilo Gallinari, LAC vs. DAL ($5,700): Gallinari played 29 minutes in his second game back from injury Saturday, finishing with 40.3 FanDuel points. He scored 24 points against a bad Bulls defense and grabbed nine rebounds for a Clippers team that now plays small up front with Griffin out of the picture. Gallinari is one of the main scoring options on the Clippers, and if he keeps performing like he did Saturday, he won't stay this cheap for much longer.

Centers

Anthony Davis, NO vs. UTA ($11,700): Davis is the one elite option on the schedule Monday. His production has been stellar, as he's scored at least 57.3 FanDuel points in five straight games. Davis certainly didn't see his scoring opportunities decrease in his first game playing alongside Mirotic, scoring 38 points on 30 shot attempts Saturday against the Timberwolves. Even though he will eat up a significant portion of your budget, Davis should still be worth it.

Rudy Gobert, UTA at NO ($7,300): Although the Pelicans have some great offensive weapons, they are not a good defensive team, allowing the second-most points per game (110.7) in the league. Gobert has been a consistent contributor lately, scoring at least 33.4 FanDuel points in seven of his last eight games. With the Pelicans' defensive deficiencies and their up-tempo style of play, Gobert could be in line for a valuable performance.

Robin Lopez, CHI at SAC ($4,400): The loss of Mirotic not only increased Portis' role in the Bulls offense, but it has also afforded more playing time for Lopez. Lopez played 36 minutes Saturday against the Clippers, scoring 34.1 FanDuel points. The Kings have size up front, but allow the third-most FanDuel points per game (55.7) to opposing centers. If you want to take a chance on a cheap center in tournament play, Lopez is someone to consider.
