FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

The NBA continues to pack in games as the All-Star break approaches with 16 teams in action Tuesday. There are a lot of possibilities for your FanDuel entry as a result, but here are some players with favorable matchups to key in on as you craft your lineup.

Guards

Russell Westbrook, OKC at GS ($11,800): The Thunder are slumping right now, but Westbrook has still scored at least 51.5 FanDuel points in six of his last nine games. His 34.9% usage rate is down significantly from last season, but it still ranks second-highest in the league. He destroyed the Warriors for 34 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and four steals in their first meeting this season, so expect another valuable performance Tuesday.

Elfrid Payton, ORL vs. CLE ($6,900): Payton has his ups and downs offensively, but can usually provide value even when his shot is off due to his ability to rack up assists and steals. Tuesday brings a great matchup against a Cavaliers defense that is struggling to stop anyone these days. Payton has already faced off against them twice in the last month, scoring at least 32.9 FanDuel points in both contests. The price is right to take a chance on him in their third matchup.

Josh Hart, LAL vs. PHO ($5,000): The Lakers continue to change up their rotations with Hart now playing at least 35 minutes in back-to-back games. He's been productive with the added minutes, scoring at least 34.2 FanDuel points in both contests. He's not a great passer, but he did grab at least 11 rebounds in both of those two games. He won't cost much Tuesday and gets to face a Suns team that allows the most points per game (112.2) in the league, making him a viable option for your entry.

Forwards

T.J. Warren, PHO at LAL ($6,800): With Devin Booker (hip) already ruled out Tuesday, Warren becomes the main scoring threat for the Suns. He already has a career-high 25.4% usage rate this season, ranking inside the top-35 in the league. The Lakers play at the fastest pace (103.1 possessions per game) and allow the fourth-most points per game (110) in the league, leaving Warren as an excellent option due to his expanded role Tuesday.

Markieff Morris, WAS at PHI ($6,300): Morris is only averaging 26 minutes per game this season, but has logged at least 29 minutes in six straight games. While his production hasn't been off the charts, he did score at least 32.1 FanDuel points in four of those contests. The Sixers play at the fifth-fastest pace (101.7) in the league, which could leave Morris with added opportunities to produce. At this reasonable price, he's a viable option to consider.

Josh Jackson, PHO at LAL ($5,900): Jackson has played at least 28 minutes in four straight games, averaging 21.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.8 three-pointers during that stretch. He should be in line for added playing time again Tuesday with Booker sidelined, which is great news considering the Lakers struggles on defense. He could end up being one of the better value plays at any position Tuesday.

Centers

Clint Capela, HOU at BKN ($7,800): Capela seems like the perfect fit for the Rockets. Although they have excellent perimeter players, his ability to control the glass goes a long way to making the Rockets small lineups successful. Not only does he have a double-double in four of his last six games, but he also has 10 blocks in the last three contests. Tuesday brings a favorable matchup as both the Rockets and Nets are in the top-eight in the league in pace of play, and the Nets also allow the most FanDuel points per game (57.1) to opposing centers.

Enes Kanter, NY vs. MIL ($6,900): The Knicks are not playing well, but Kanter has still managed to score at least 30.8 FanDuel points in seven of his last 10 games. He's been excellent on the boards, averaging 15.4 rebounds in his last five contests. The Bucks allow the fifth-most FanDuel points per game (53.7) to opposing centers and Kanter just scored 35.6 FanDuel points against them Friday, making him someone to consider for your entry Tuesday.

Brook Lopez, LAL vs. PHO ($6,000): In an odd turn of events, Lopez has now logged at least 28 minutes in back-to-back contests. He had played at least 20 minutes only once in his previous 10 games before that stretch. He's made the most of the opportunity, scoring at least 28.6 FanDuel points in both games. The Lakers might be showcasing him before the trade deadline, so it could be worth the risk using him in tournament play Tuesday. If he gets increased playing time again, he has the potential to out produce his price point.
