FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Monday will be a busy night in the NBA with 10 games on the schedule. A lot of elite players will be taking the floor with the Warriors, Rockets, Pelicans and Thunder all in action. Here are some players with favorable matchups across the price scale on FanDuel to consider for your entry.

Guards

Jrue Holiday, NO vs. PHO ($8,500):Anthony Davis has been a monster since DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) was lost for the season, but Holiday has been a star in his own right. He has scored at least 48.9 FanDuel points in four straight games and has a 25.1% usage rate in February. The Suns play at the fourth-fastest pace (102.2 possessions per game) and allow the most points per game (113.0) in the league, potentially giving Holiday significant value Monday.

Andrew Wiggins, MIN at SAC ($6,900): Wiggins is going to get a chance to be more involved in the Timberwolves' offense now that Jimmy Butler (knee) is out of action. He showed that immediately in the first game Butler missed Saturday against the Bulls, scoring 23 points and taking 18 shots. He averaged 23.6 points per game and had a 29% usage rate last season before the Timberwolves added Butler over the summer, showing he can have a high ceiling. At this mid-tier price, he is someone to consider for your entry.

Trey Burke, NY vs. GS ($4,900): The Knicks are going to play Burke more for the rest of the season and have given him at least 26 minutes in each of the last two games. He's provided immediate results, scoring at least 40 FanDuel points in each contest. He showed he's more than just a scorer too, dishing out at least six assists in both games. He won't cost much, so it makes a lot of sense to take a chance on him continuing his hot streak Monday against a Warriors team that plays at the second-fastest pace (102.5) in the league.

Forwards

Paul George, OKC vs. ORL ($8,700): George struggled mightily in his last game Saturday against the Warriors, scoring only five points on 1-of-14 from the field. However, don't forget that he had scored at least 46.2 FanDuel points in five of seven games entering Saturday. He'll get a much easier opponent Monday in the Magic, who are tied for the third-most points per game allowed (110.0) in the league. This has the makings of a big rebound performance.

John Collins, ATL vs. LAL ($5,800): The Hawks are in the process of officially buying out Ersan Ilyasova, opening up the starting power forward job for Collins. Collins has started two straight games, averaging 10 points, 9.5 rebounds and two blocks. The key is that he played at least 30 minutes in both of those contests. The Lakers allow the third-most FanDuel points per game (49.1) to opposing power forwards, making Collins a viable option again Monday.

David Nwaba, CHI at BKN ($5,000): Nwaba has seen a significant boost in playing time since moving into the starting lineup, logging at least 33 minutes in both of his starts. He scored 39.8 FanDuel points Thursday against the Sixers, but came back to reality a bit with 22.8 FanDuel points Saturday against the Timberwolves. Both the Bulls and the Nets are bad defensive teams, so this has the potential to be a high-scoring contest. Nwaba is priced low enough to warrant consideration for your entry.

Centers

Anthony Davis, NO vs. PHO ($12,500): Davis has been extremely productive lately, scoring at least 53.1 FanDuel points in five straight games. He also scored at least 81.5 FanDuel points three times during that same stretch. His usage rate is stellar in February at 34.9%, by far his highest of any month this season. Not only do the Suns struggle defensively and play at a fast pace, but the Pelicans also play at the third-fastest pace (102.3) in the league. Davis has one of the highest upsides in DFS, so don't be afraid to pay up for him Monday.

Julius Randle, LAL at ATL ($7,700): Randle continues to thrive since Larry Nance Jr. was dealt to the Cavaliers, scoring at least 41.1 FanDuel points in four of his last five games. He doesn't always provide great defensive numbers, but he did dish out at least six assists in three of those contests. The Hawks struggle to defend opposing big men, allowing the fourth-most FanDuel points per game (48.8) to power forwards and the second-most FanDuel points per game (55.5) to centers.

Alex Len, PHO at NO ($5,200):Tyson Chandler (neck) has missed three straight games for the Suns, leaving Len as the starting center. Finally given an opportunity for consistent playing time, Len scored at least 33.1 FanDuel points in all three of those contests. The Pelicans have allowed the sixth-most FanDuel points per game (58.1) to opposing centers over their last 10 games, so don't hesitate to add Len to your entry if Chandler sits again.
