FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Guards:

D'Angelo Russell, BRK vs. CLE ($6,800): Russell showed in his most recent game just how dangerous he can be, as he recorded his first triple-double of the season. It extended an already impressive streak from Russell, as he's averaging 37.6 fantasy points per game in his last seven outings. It's an increased role that's allowed him to do that, as he played at least 27 minutes in all of those games while leading the team in usage. This matchup is just the icing on the cake, with Cleveland ranking 29th in defensive efficiency while allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards.

Goran Dragic, MIA at IND ($6,500): It's strange that Dragic's price has remained below $7,000 for so long, as his 30 fantasy points per game indicate that he's a better player than that. His reliability is hard to overlook too, as he has at least 32 fantasy points in four of his last five games. Dragic has shown consistency against Indiana this season as well, averaging 17 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists in three meetings against them. With these two teams battling for playoff positioning, Dragic should surpass his 32-minute per game average and that should open the door for more fantasy production.

Eric Gordon, HOU vs. ATL ($5,200): Gordon has been a stud this season when Chris Paul (hamstring) sits out and that could very well be the case here. In games without Paul, Gordon is averaging well over 30 fantasy points per game while ranking second on the team in usage. That showed in the two most recent games, as he collected 67 total fantasy points. What's just as intriguing is the matchup, with Gordon facing an Atlanta defense that ranks 25th in defensive efficiency.

Forwards:

Kevin Love, CLE at BRK ($7,600): Love has been superb in his return from injury and he could be in line to finally play 30 minutes here. Not only did he play 29 minutes in each of his last two games, Love is also averaging 38 fantasy points per game in the three outings since his return to the court. That's top-notch production in limited minutes and he should be able to continue that here against a Brooklyn defense that allows the second-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards.

Marcus Morris, BOS at SAC ($5,700): With all of the injuries in Boston, Morris has emerged as one of the go-to players. In fact, Morris leads the starters with a usage rate approaching 25 percent since Jaylen Brown and Kyrie Irving got injured and he's posting the best numbers of his career. Morris is averaging 21.6 points and 6.4 rebounds across his last five games, while he's doing that damage in 34.4 minutes and 15.4 shots per game. That high usage should become even more valuable against a Sacramento defense that ranks 28th in defensive efficiency.

DeMarre Carroll, BRK vs. CLE ($5,500): Carroll has been overlooked in fantasy all season and his price should be above $6,000. His 27 fantasy points per game are evidence of that already, while he's also reached at least 31 fantasy points in seven of his last 11 games. That sort of production looks even better when you consider this matchup, with Cleveland allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing small forwards. His role increases against a team like Cleveland too, as he's averaging 33 minutes per game in his three previous outings against them this season while being tasked with covering LeBron James.

Centers:

DeAndre Jordan, LAC at TOR ($8,300): Jordan has been a different player since Blake Griffin got traded, as he's averaging 15.6 points, 17.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.8 blocks per game in his last 12 outings. That's nearly 45 fantasy points per game and his minutes should be on the rise with Los Angeles battling for a playoff spot. Toronto has struggled against centers this season too, allowing the 10th-most fantasy points to the position for the season.

Dewayne Dedmon, ATL at HOU ($5,700): Dedmon has been a pleasant surprise for the Hawks, as he's in the best stretch of his season right now. Not only does he have at least 30 fantasy points in four-straight games, he's also averaging 34 fantasy points per game in that span. The increase in fantasy production should be no surprise when looking at his role, as Dedmon ranks third on the team in usage during that stretch while averaging 30 minutes a game.
