Lunsford was brought in for his leg power. In two seasons playing for Liberty in the FCS he went 8-for-12 on field goal attempts of 50-plus yards, including four from 57-plus yards out. Accuracy is not his forte, as he only went 8-for-23 from the 40-49 range. The lack of touch on his kicks makes him an unlikely threat to unseat Phil Dawson as the starter. Lunsford was released in late August.
