Chukwurah signed with the Seahawks on Tuesday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

ANALYSIS
Chukwurah hasn't appeared in the NFL since December of 2008, but raised his profile by leading the UFL in sacks in each of the past two seasons. The Seahawks hope he can make up for the loss of Chris Clemons (knee), who led the Seahawks with 11.5 sacks this season.

Will compete for a reserve role on the defensive line.

Although he's played linebacker at times in the past, the Bucs signed Chukwurah with an eye towards having him replace Greg Spires as the starter at left end. Chukwurah notched 4.5 sacks in 14 games last season.

A converted linebacker, Chukwurah is currently third on the Broncos depth chart at left defensive end, where he plays mainly a pass rushing role.

Chukwurah sees most of his time on special teams, but provides overall depth to the linebacker corps.

Chukwurah provides the team depth at the strongside position provided he makes the team.
