2024 Projections
The Lions are moving on from Raiola, his agent confirmed Monday, ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Raiola has played his entire career with the Lions since the team selected him in the second round of the 2001 draft. After a strong 2013, Raiola had a rough 2014 season, garnering a minus-17.2 rating as the No. 37 center in the NFL, according to PFF. His slippage in play, age, and sometimes dirty play on the field are what ultimately led to the Lions not wanting him anymore. The Lions will probably slide Travis Swanson, a third-round pick in the 2014 draft, into Raiola's spot at center.
