Alexander, an undrafted free agent in 2011, found his way onto the active roster when the Texans lost Darryl Sharpton for the season. He finished with seven tackles -- five coming in the season finale tuneup for the playoffs. The Texans have re-armed after losing Mario Williams to Buffalo and trading DeMeco Ryans to Philadelphia. Alexander will face a similar battle to make the team in 2012 as he did last season, though a year in the system ought to give him a leg up.
