Past Fantasy Outlooks
White made the 49ers’ 53-man roster last season as a member of their special teams unit. While there is an open competition for the starting receiver spots behind Torrey Smith, there are receivers with more experience or more potential than White. If he makes the roster in 2016, it will likely be in a special teams role.
White has done all the right things during training camp to put himself in a position to possibly make this 49ers team after all. He will still have to finish the preseason on a strong note, but there is an outside chance he could leap the injured Bruce Ellington and/or the underperforming Quinton Patton.
