2019 Fantasy Outlook
Hilliman, though relatively inefficient in terms of his yards per carry average, paced the Giants in both rushing yards (70) and rushing touchdowns (two) through three weeks of preseason play. A New Jersey native who attended Rutgers and dreamed of playing for the Giants as a kid, Hilliman finds himself in the mix for a bubble roster spot behind the current No. 3 and 4 options on the depth chart -- Paul Perkins and Rod Smith. Joins Giants' practice squad
RBFree Agent
October 14, 2019
Hilliman cleared waivers and signed with the Giants' practice squad on Monday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
ANALYSIS
Hilliman was considered a strong candidate to land on the practice squad after getting waived by the Giants on Friday. The undrafted rookie out of Rutgers started at running back in Thursday's loss to the Patriots due to Saquon Barkley (ankle) and Wayne Gallman (concussion) being sidelined. The team hopes to have both back in Week 7, which means Hilliman will have to wait for another opportunity.
