Rucker (neck) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Rucker missed Week 6's contest against the Seahawks with a neck injury, but it seems the bye week gave him enough time to heal. Barring a setback, the defensive end will likely resume his starting duties against the Colts on Sunday.

If the offseason program and early training-camp practices are any indication, Rucker joins Calais Campbell and Corey Peters as the Cardinals' first line of defense. In his test run last year for Darnell Dockett (torn ACL), Rucker scattered a career-best five sacks throughout the campaign, supplementing his stat line further with 24 tackles (20 solo) and two forced fumbles in 15 contests. While defensive coordinator James Bettcher will likely employ a rotation along the trenches in order to ensure fresh bodies, Rucker seems like a decent bet to augment his tackle total.
After Darnell Dockett was lost for the season due to a torn ACL, Rucker has been thrust into a starting role along the defensive front. Rucker is expected to receive the bulk of Dockett's reps, but rookie Kareem Martin could be inserted on clear passing downs in order to provide more of a pass-rushing threat. No matter, the development should allow Rucker to approach (or surpass) his output (46 tackles and four sacks per year) from the two seasons prior to his arrival in the Arizona desert in 2013.
Rucker was signed as a free agent this spring away from division rival Cincinnati. He posted career-highs of 44 tackles and four sacks in 2011 and will likely play in a rotation with fellow free agent signee Juqua Parker at defensive end opposite Jabaal Sheard. Rucker is more of a run-stuffer than a pass-rusher so his fantasy stock in IDP leagues is limited.
The Bengals lost both Robert Geathers and Rucker to knee injuries on a Thursday night game in Pittsburgh; those injuries typified the Bengals' pass rush problems.
Rucker will serve as a backup defensive end who could see action from time to time, especially with Antwan Odom's ankle at less the 100 percent.
Rucker's only contribution in 2006 was to be added to the list of Bengals arrested. He missed the season with a shoulder injury and is missing training camp with a leg injury.
