Parnevik will not play in any events during July, after he broke a rib while riding a Segway, as reported on his own instagram account.

Jesper Parnevik: Past News Updates ( ▲ View most recent update )
RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
Parnevik is fading. Over the last five to six years he's relied too much on the fall season to retain his card. Last season it took a runner-up finish at the Valero Texas Open to save him. The year before it was a couple top-10s late in the year. Parnevik can produce early and late in the season, but will get little accomplished in the middle months.
Since 2003, Parnevik has alternated good years with bad years. Last year was a good year for Parnevik. He finished strong in fall 2006, but that's not necessarily an indicator of a good year upcoming. In 2004 he finished strong, yet still had a bad year in 2005. It's not much to go on, but Parnevik has been so hard to gauge the last four years, it's really all there is.
Despite raking in more than $1.5 million in 2004, it was a poor season for Parnevik. Most of his winnings came at the very beginning or very end of the season -- not a good factoid considering the end of the season is referred to as the 'silly season'. Look for a slight move up (maybe $2 million) but Jesper's better seasons are behind him.
It'll be very interesting to see if Parnevik can return to the form he showed in 1999 and 2000. If he has worked out the glitches in his swing, then look for a decent bounce back season since he's always been one of the better iron players on tour. We see him winning at least one tournament this year.
