2018–19 Fantasy Outlook
Stefani notched his lone top-10 in the second event of the season, but only found pocket stretches of consistency between his 13 missed cuts in 25 events. The journeyman has now grinded his way to status on the PGA Tour in the last seven seasons after successfully making it again through the Web.com Tour Finals. However, with exactly one top-10 the last three seasons, it's hard to forecast anything more than that for the Texas native in the year ahead. He's not rosterable in salary cap leagues or draft leagues. Read Past Outlooks
Top-15 finish in Twin Cities
July 8, 2019
Stefani shot a four-under 67 in the final round of the 3M Open to finish in a tie for 15th place.
ANALYSIS
The highlight of the week for Stefani was his ace on the par-3 4th hole in round three. Overall he added 17 birdies to just five bogeys for the event. Stefani struck the ball solid, hitting the sixth-most GIR's. On top of that he was 20th in SG: Putting. Stefani now has scored five top-25's on the season and sits just inside the playoff cutoff. He will be teeing it up again next week at the John Deere Classic.

Stefani found himself outside of the top-150 in the FedExCup standings after missing 15 of 26 cuts throughout the 2016-17 season, but a runner-up finish at the Web.com Tour Championship allowed for him to retain his PGA Tour card. Despite ranking 35th in GIR percentage this past season, Stefani fell to 152nd in birdie average and 158th in average proximity to the hole on approach shots from 50-125 yards out. Stefani has also gone without a top-three finish since the 2014-15 season, so his fantasy value projects to remain limited.
Stefani was very close to making the top-125 on the money list last season and although he just missed-out there, he did make it inside the top-125 on the FedEx Cup points list. Stefani's numbers last season were quite the departure from his previous two season where he earned $1.3 and $1.7 million respectively. Since Stefani is only a year removed from that $1.7 million season, he makes for a good salary cap option this year. In draft leagues he should be a ninth- or 10th-round pick.
Stefani finished his rookie season just on the outside of top-125, but he didn't let that disappointment carry over into his second full-season on the PGA Tour. Entering the 2014 season, Stefani knew his chances would be limited, after all, he finished outside the top-125 in 2013, so he had to make the most of every start in 2014. His second start on the PGA Tour came in April where he finished with a solo-5th place finish at the Shell Houston Open. It wasn't June however until he solidified his spot inside the top-125 with a runner-up showing at the Quicken National Loans event. In total, it wasn't a great year for Stefani, he's still got a long ways to go, but at least he can play a full schedule this year. In draft leagues Stefani should go around rounds nine or ten.
Stefani proved he can go low, as he shot a 64 and 62 in his two respective wins on the Web.com Tour this year en route to his sixth place finish on the Web.com Tour money list and his PGA TOUR card. Impressively, both the wins came in August, when the push to be in the top 25 really heats up. A fourth-place finish in the all-around category shows how well-rounded Stefani’s game is. Now it will come down to how consistent he can be from week-to-week against the best in the world on the PGA TOUR.
