Rutta has not dressed for the Lightning this season.
ANALYSIS
Rutta is the Lightning's eighth defenseman, and while it's only been three games, the trend is pretty clear - Rutta is the odd man out as long as the rest are healthy. Over the course of the year, that's not likely to continue, so he will slot in. But that part-time work will make any fantasy value he has almost negligible.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Rutta was pretty good when healthy last campaign, picking up six goals and 20 points while averaging 19:15 of ice time in 57 appearances with Chicago. The 28-year-old blueliner appears poised to slot into a middle-pairing role with the Blackhawks in 2018-19, and if he's able to stay healthy, he could hit the 35-point mark, making him worth a look as a bench option in deeper formats. There's definitely a cap on Rutta's upside, but he'll warrant consideration as a late-round selection in drafts this season.
