Garners praise from coach
When asked about Lundell, coach Andrew Brunette said "His hockey sense is off the charts. He's going to put in some work in the gym, get a little quicker and a little stronger. He could be a special player," Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Lundell was fantastic as a rookie in 2021-22, racking up 18 goals and 44 points while posting an eye-popping plus-33 rating through 65 regular-season contests before adding one goal while skating in a reduced role through nine playoff games. If he's able to secure more time with the man advantage in 2022-23, his per-game production should only continue to improve.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Lundell would have been a legitimate Rookie of the Year candidate had he not been limited to a third-line role due to the remarkable depth of the Florida roster. Lundell still managed to post 18 goals and 44 points in 65 games in his freshman campaign, all while seeing just 41 seconds worth of power-play time per game and playing the entire year at age 20. He certainly appears ready for an increased role, but Aleksander Barkov and Sam Bennett are entrenched as Florida's top two centers, suggesting Lundell may be another year away from a fantasy breakout. He's a better keeper/dynasty option than redraft selection.
