GOALIE
Martin Jones, SJ vs. EDM ($8,300) – The series shifts to San Jose for Game 3, giving the more experienced Sharks a chance to take advantage of the young Oilers, who showed some weakness in Game 1 when they blew a 2-0 lead. The Sharks should have a huge advantage in front of their home crowd, and they've already made a public commitment to stay out of the box after allowing two shorthanded goals in Game 2. Jones didn't have a great start to the series but was excellent in Game 2 despite the loss, and has been far better at home than on the road this season. Peter DeBoer also gets last change at home as the Oilers enter a hostile environment.
CENTER
Evgeni Malkin, PIT at CLS ($8,600) – He's already got three points in two games against the Jackets despite playing a total of 33 minutes. Sidney Crosby's three-point effort in Game 2 makes him public enemy No. 1 in Columbus on Sunday, even though the local newspaper decided to nix it's free "crying Crosby" mask giveaway. With the opposition so focused on Crosby, it potentially opens up the ice for Malkin, who was frustrated by the Jackets' physical play near the end of Game 2, but, historically, Malkin has been at his best when he plays with an edge.
Tomas Hertl, SJ vs. EDM ($4,400) – He's flown under the radar with all eyes on Connor McDavid's playoff debut, but Hertl has been one of the Sharks' best players so far, firing 10 shots on goal over the past two games. He has been a far more effective center than Patrick Marleau, who has no points and just three shots on goal in the series. The Sharks also have the advantage as the series shifts to San Jose for their first home game of the 2017 playoffs.
WING
Phil Kessel, PIT at CLS ($7,100) – He was relatively quiet in Game 2 but has an incredible track record in the playoffs with 45 points in 48 games. Translation: the Jackets won't be able to keep him off the board for long. Kessel, who finished with just two shots on goal in Game 2 after firing seven in Game 1, will surely be tasked with shooting the puck a lot more.
Leon Draisaitl, EDM at SJ ($6,600) – He's been surprisingly quiet through the first two games, held to just one shot on goal and zero points. However, the good news is that he's still playing alongside McDavid and is far too good to stay off the scoresheet for long.
Patric Hornqvist, PIT at CLS ($6,400) – The Pens/Jackets series has been the most physical affair of the playoffs by a pretty big margin, but this is also the type of game that Hornqvist loves. He's got two points, six shots and a blocked shot so far, and remember that he was only second to Kessel on the team with nine goals in last year's playoffs.
Alex Galchenyuk, MON at NYR ($5,200) – Despite being buried on the fourth line to begin the series, Galchenyuk played 21 minutes in Game 2 and has fired nine shots in the series. The Habs desperately need a go-to guy to emerge on offense, and Galchenyuk is as good a candidate as any. Beating Henrik Lundqvist at the Garden won't be easy, though.
DEFENSE
Shea Weber, MON at NYR ($5,500) – He's been an absolute beast for the Habs, and by far their best defenseman. He's hit two posts this series, and along with nine shots on goal, Weber has also has blocked nine shots. He's a do-it-all player that contributes in multiple categories, so even if he's foiled by Lundqvist or the posts again, he should provide lots of value for fantasy owners.
Oscar Klefbom, EDM at SJ ($4,700) – After getting hit in the leg by a rocket shot from Brent Burns, Klefbom is expected to play Sunday. He's got a goal already in the series with four shots and another four blocked shots, and even if he doesn't score, Klefbom has been a consistent performer at both ends of the ice. He's an excellent even-strength player, so even if the Sharks stay true to their promise and stay out of the box, Klefbom should be just as effective.
