Wednesday is a big night in the NBA with 10 games on the schedule. Two enticing matchups for the evening are the Bulls against the Celtics and the Thunder against the Clippers. Here are some of the better plays to consider when creating your FanDuel lineup:
Guards
John Wall, WAS vs TOR ($8,700): Wall is off to a strong start this season, posting at least 35.6 FanDuel points in both games the Wizards have played. While he's not much of a rebounder, he is a strong offensive option who racks up assists and also provides solid defensive stats. Although he's not cheap Wednesday against the Raptors, I think he will be worth the price.
Dwyane Wade, CHI at BOS ($6,900): Wade has played very well as the Bulls have started off the season 3-0. The Bulls won their last two games in blowout fashion, so his overall numbers don't jump off the page, as he saw limited minutes. However, that's unlikely to be the case in this matchup against the Celtics. Wade posted 35.7 FanDuel points in the first game of the season against these very Celtics and should have another nice performance Wednesday.
Sergio Rodriguez, PHI at CHA ($5,100): Rodriguez has been running the show for the 76ers and has averaged 12.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game. While not a flashy name, that's solid production on a team that's thin at point guard. The price is right to give Rodriguez a shot Wednesday against the Hornets.
Forwards
Jimmy Butler, CHI at BOS ($7,900): While Wade is getting a lot of the headlines in Chicago, Butler has continued to play really well this season. Even with the blowouts in the last two contests resulting in limited minutes, he is still averaging 20.6 points per game. Like Wade, he played well against the Celtics in the first game of the season, posting 40.9 FanDuel points. I like his production potential at this price.
Kristaps Porzingis, NY vs HOU ($6,800): This has the makings of a high-scoring affair as neither the Knicks nor the Rockets play particularly well on the defensive end. Porzingis has averaged 18.3 points and 6.0 rebounds over the first three games of the season, numbers I think he can eclipse in this contest. The Rockets just don't have anyone with the size to guard him.
Nikola Mirotic, CHI at BOS ($4,900): I just can't stop picking Bulls players Wednesday. Mirotic caught fire Monday against the Nets, recording 35.5 FanDuel points. Like Wade and Butler, he also performed well in the first game of the season against the Celtics be recording 24.3 FanDuel points. He's cheap Wednesday, so I'm inclined to give him a chance based on his potential.
Centers
Dwight Howard, ATL vs LAL ($8,200): Howard is having a nice start to the season for the Hawks as he has recorded at least 38.7 FanDuel points in two of their three games. The big advantage Howard has is that not only is he a walking double-double, but he has also blocked at least three shots in all three games this season. If you want to spend big money at the center position, Howard is your man.
Steven Adams, OKC at LAC ($5,000): Adams recorded a double-double on his way to 39.4 FanDuel points Sunday against the Lakers. He's had more opportunities on offense this season and also continues to excel defensively as he has seven steals over three games already. Adams presents a nice opportunity to get valuable production at a cheap price Wednesday.
Jahlil Okafor, PHI at CHA ($5,000): Okafor sat out Tuesday's contest against the Magic for rest, but Wednesday he will return to the court while Joel Embiid sits for rest. Okafor only averaged 15.5 minutes over his first two games of the season, but he could see an increase in playing time Wednesday. While his ceiling is not extremely high, the 76ers lack of options Wednesday give Okafor the opportunity to produce.
