DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Three of the five games in the NBA on Sunday start in the afternoon, leaving only two games to make up the main slate on DraftKings. There aren't as many options as normal to select from, but that doesn't mean you can't finish the night a winner. Here are some players with favorable matchups to consider for your lineup.

Guards:

James Harden, HOU at DEN ($11,000): Although there are only two games, Sunday certainly isn't lacking star power. Harden is the most expensive player on DraftKings, but that's not surprising since his 36.5 percent usage rate is highest in the league. He's scored at least 50 DraftKings points in six of his last seven games, one of which was when he scored 54.8 DraftKings points in only 27 minutes in a blowout win against these same Nuggets. Don't be afraid to pay up to get him in your entry.

Tomas Satoransky, PHI at WAS ($5,700): Satoransky had a rough game Friday against the Hornets, scoring just 18.5 DraftKings points. He had scored at least 30.5 DraftKings points in four straight entering that game. The good news is he played 34 minutes, marking the fifth straight game that he has played at least 31 minutes. The Sixers play at the fifth-fastest pace (101.6 possessions per game) in the league, so Satoransky should have a good chance to provide value Sunday based on the amount of minutes he has been receiving.

J.J. Redick, PHI at WAS ($5,100): Redick's main job with the Sixers is to spread the floor and provide offense, resulting in at least 21.8 DraftKings points in seven straight games. Most of his production has come on the offensive end as expected, scoring at least 14 points in each of those games. His upside isn't very high, but he did score 29.3 DraftKings points against these same Wizards earlier in February. With so few options for the evening, Redick is someone worth considering for your entry.

Forwards:

Ben Simmons, PHI at WAS ($8,900): Simmons isn't playing as well as he was to start the season, but he's still averaging 16.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 2.3 steals in nine February contests. He's played particularly well against the Wizards the first three times they have met this year, averaging 21.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.3 steals. Look for him to have another big performance Sunday.

Will Barton, DEN vs. HOU ($6,300): Barton is getting a ton of playing time for the Nuggets, logging at least 40 minutes in three of his last four games. He cashed in the opportunity, scoring at least 38.8 DraftKings points in all three of those contests. The Rockets score the second-most points per game (114.2) in the league, so the Nuggets are going to need all the offense they can get from Barton to keep pace. At this reasonable price, he is a viable option for your lineup.

Markieff Morris, WAS vs. PHI ($5,000): This is the lowest that Morris has been priced on DraftKings in a month. His production has been steady, scoring at least 25.8 DraftKings points in 11 straight games. Considering the pace at which the Sixers play and that Morris is averaging 28 minutes per game in February, it might be wise to take advantage of him at this reduced price.

Centers:

Joel Embiid, PHI at WAS ($9,600): Embiid is rolling right now, scoring at least 51 DraftKings points in five of his last six games. Although this is the second leg of a back-to-back set, he did log just 27 minutes Saturday. He has averaged 23.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.7 blocks in his first three games against the Wizards this season, so don't hesitate to play him Sunday.

Clint Capela, HOU at DEN ($7,100): The Nuggets have had problems defending opposing centers this season, allowing the ninth-most DraftKings points per game (52.6) to the position. Capela has been no exception, averaging 15.5 points and 16.5 rebounds per game in their first two meetings. If you don't want to pay up for Embiid, Capela could also have a valuable performance.

Ian Mahinmi, WAS vs. PHI ($3,600): There aren't great cheap options at center Sunday with only two games. Mahinmi is in the discussion if you want to save money as a result. In the last four games that he has played at least 20 minutes, he scored at least 17.5 DraftKings points each time. All of those games came in February as well. The Wizards will need him to help battle with Embiid, so he might be worth taking a chance on if you want to go really cheap at the position.
