England vs. Pakistan: World Cup Match 6 Preview

England and Pakistan are ready to face off in the match six at the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup 2019 in Nottingham on Monday. In the previous five meetings between both teams, it is advantage England as they have won four times whereas one game was washed out.

Trent Bridge is the venue for the contest, which is famous for high scores in the recent past and the pitch is expected to be another batting paradise. It is the same track where England have scored world-record 481 against Australia last year. However, in the previous match at the venue, Pakistan were bowled out for just 105 in less than 22 overs. As far as the weather is concerned, it is expected to stay fine throughout.

The home side will be coming in this match high on confidence as they register an impressive 104-run win against South Africa in the tournament opener. In the batting department, England will rely on the likes of captain Eoin Morgan, in-form opener Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, the experienced Joe Root and wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler to score bulk of the runs, whereas on the bowling front, the onus will be on the likes Jofra Archer, Liam Plunkett and Adil Rashid to produce timely breakthroughs. After a complete performance in the previous match, there are no major changes expected in the playing eleven.
