Kansas City at Denver (+5), 56.0 o/u – Monday, 8:15 p.m. EDT
The Story: Raise your hand if you expected Patrick Mahomes to set a new NFL record with 13 TD passes through the first three games of 2018. Yeah, right. The Chiefs' explosive passing game has put the entire NFL on notice, but fortunately for the rest of the AFC West, Kansas City's defense has been almost as generous as their offense has been ferocious. They're still one of only three undefeated teams left in the league, though, and that could remain true for a while until someone finds a way to slow down Mahomes, and Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce, and Sammy Watkins, and Kareem Hunt, and ... uh, yeah, good luck with that. Denver's new starting quarterback has been somewhat less than record-setting, and after throwing only seven INTs in 15 games for the Vikings last season, Case Keenum's already been picked off five times in three games for the Broncos. Facing a secondary that's allowed an 8:1 TD:INT against them so far should help him maintain a cleaner stat line, though, and if he can somehow keep pace with Mahomes and hold serve at home, it's the Broncos that will find themselves atop the division after the first month.
