FanDuel NHL: Saturday Values

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

The main event contests at FanDuel feature the nine evening games and kick start with the matchup between Pittsburgh and Buffalo. Here are a number of options across the salary ranges to consider while assembling your lineups.

GOALIE

Martin Jones, SAN at ARI ($8,300): Look for a bounce-back showing for Jones. His three-game win streak was snapped in a tough road matchup against St. Louis on Thursday, but he allowed just three goals through his previous three outings with a .959 save percentage. Plus, Arizona is scoring just 2.5 goals per game and averaging only 18.65 scoring chances per 60 minutes (fourth fewest in the league).

CENTER

Artem Anisimov, CHI at VAN ($5,600): The center snapped a three-game bought drought Friday, and he recently missed an outing with an upper-body injury. His salary stands out in the cushy matchup, considering he's scoring above a point-per-game pace. The Canucks have allowed the sixth most goals per game (3.11) and ninth most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes (11.28), after all.

Joe Thornton, SAN at ARI ($5,200):
Not only is Thornton off to a slow start (12 points), he also has just 14 shots through 17 games. However, this is a bounce-back spot in a friendly matchup. Arizona has allowed the most high-danger scoring chance per 60 minutes this season (12.78) and the second most goals per game (3.38). You're not spend much to acquire the top offensive center for the Sharks, either.

WING

Artemi Panarin, CHI at VAN ($7,000): Considering the highlighted ripe matchup and Panarin's high fantasy floor, this salary isn't prohibitive enough to fade the high-scoring freshman. Panarin is up to 94 points -- 36 goals -- through 98 career games, and he's locked into a key role with the No. 1 power-play unit.

Nino Niederreiter, MIN vs. COL ($4,300):
Life with Eric Staal and Charlie Coyle has been excellent analytically, but it hasn't translated to significant offense for Niederreiter. In fact, Niederreiter has just two goals, three points and nine shots on net despite his line combining for a 63.5 Corsi For percentage and 10.6 scoring chances per 60 minutes at five-on-five. With Colorado devastated by injuries, this is a nice matchup for Minnesota, too.

Mikkel Boedker, SAN at ARI ($3,500):
The 26-year-old winger has lost his bite since joining San Jose and has just two goals and 17 shots through 17 games thus far. However, a date with his former team might be the slump-busting matchup he needs. As noted, the Coyotes check out as one of the most favorable opponents in the league, and Boedker is playing a scoring role and presents significant savings.

DEFENSE

Duncan Keith, CHI at VAN ($6,000): The 33-year-old veteran is off to an excellent start this season with his highest point-per-game mark (0.72) since the 2013-14 campaign. Additionally, he is a high-volume shooter (42 shots over 18 games) who is averaging 4:02 of power-play time per night.

John Klingberg, DAL vs. EDM ($4,800):
Mired in a four-game point drought, this is a nice price and matchup to ante up for Klingberg. He's averaging 3:55 of power-play time per night, and the 24-year-old Swede has the fourth highest points per 60 minutes (1.79) among all defenseman with at least 3,5000 played since he entered the league.
