The Spurs renounced their free-agent exception rights on Osman (ankle) on Sunday, making him an unrestricted free agent,
Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This move isn't a huge surprise, and Osman will now have the opportunity to pursue employment elsewhere. The veteran forward averaged 6.8 points and 2.5 rebounds while shooting a career-best 38.9 percent from three-point range in 17.6 minutes per contest over 72 appearances for the Spurs in 2023-24. He missed the final six games of the campaign with a right ankle sprain but should be ready to go for the start of NBA training camps in the fall.
