Vaulet underwent surgery to repair a stress fracture in his leg last Tuesday,
Nets Daily reports. He will remain overseas next season and rehab with Bahia Blanca in Argentina.
ANALYSIS
Vaulet is getting the typical hype any young prospect does. The Nets are reported to be in love with their 19-year-old second-round pick, going so far as to claim he's the "best young player Argentina has produced in a decade." If all goes well, Vaulet could come to the NBA as soon as next summer, heading into the 2016-17 season. He's drawn comparisons to Manu Ginobili, and there is the quixotic connection of Manu's brother Sebastian coaching Vaulet on Bahia Blanca, lending credence to an otherwise impractical comparison.
