A free agent since July, Barton unsurprisingly drew limited interest from NBA teams after averaging 6.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 17.7 minutes per game while shooting just 37.9 percent from the field over his 56 appearances between the Wizards and Raptors in the 2022-23 season. The 33-year-old wing will now look to reboot his career overseas, and a strong showing in Russia could allow him to earn another look from an NBA team ahead of training camp next fall. However, given his age and the steep downturn in production he noticed last season, Barton's time in the NBA is most likely over.
