Celtics Defeat Cavaliers, 116-106
The Boston Celtics defeated the host Cleveland Cavaliers, 116-106, at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday.

Boston came into this game as a sizable favorite, as they led for all but a few minutes. In fact, they won all four individual quarters, despite the fact that each one was decided by five points or fewer. Rebounding was the difference in the game, with the Celtics out-rebounding the Cavaliers, 46-36. Their defense was key as well, as they doubled up Cleveland in steals, 8-4 and tripled them up in blocks, 3-1, while winning the turnover differential, 15-10.

The Celtics (44-31) were led by Jayson Tatum, as he tallied 21 points, five rebounds and four assists. Marcus Smart matched those 21 points, adding six rebounds, four assists and three steals to his tally. Al Horford accrued 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists while Gordon Hayward led the bench with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists.

The Cavaliers (19-56) were led by Collin Sexton, as he amassed 24 points, two rebounds and three assists. Cedi Osman accumulated 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists, Kevin Love finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds and four assists while Jordan Clarkson led the bench with 18 points, two rebounds and five assists.

On deck for the Cavaliers is a road matchup versus the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. As for the Celtics, they return to action on Friday when they play host to the Indiana Pacers.
