Clippers Topple Timberwolves, 122-111
The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 122-111, at Target Center on Tuesday evening.

The Clippers (45-30) deployed one of the best strategies for winning on the road -- they got out to a sizable lead early. Los Angeles forged a 42-23 lead through the first 12 minutes and held a 75-55 halftime advantage. The Timberwolves (33-41) did manage to put a nine-point dent in their deficit overall during the second half, but that wasn't nearly enough to overtake Los Angeles. As their final point tally implies, the visitors shot extremely well, draining 54.1 percent of their attempts, including 50.0 percent from three-point range.

Danilo Gallinari paced the Clippers with a 25-point, 10-rebound double-double that also included four assists and one steal. Lou Williams followed with 20 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Montrezl Harrell delivered 18 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Garrett Temple supplied 15 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Patrick Beverley and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with a 24-point, 13-rebound double-double that also included three assists and two steals. Andrew Wiggins poured in 22 points and added three rebounds, three assists and two steals. Dario Saric furnished 18 points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal. Tyus Jones managed 13 points, eight assists and two rebounds. Josh Okogie and Jerryd Bayless managed nine points apiece.

The Clippers remain on the road and next visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday evening, while the Timberwolves remain home to tangle with the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
