Nuggets Beat Pistons, 95-92
The Denver Nuggets took down the Detroit Pistons, 95-92, at Pepsi Center on Tuesday evening.

The Pistons (37-37) fought back from a double-digit deficit and trailed by just two late in the fourth quarter on Tuesday. However, Denver (50-23) closed out the game in style with a clutch step-back two from Jamal Murray. The jumper capped off a 31-point night from Murray, whose performance helped Denver move back into a tie for first in the Western Conference.

Nikola Jokic also had a big night in what proved to be an exciting big man duel. Jokic scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds while squaring off against Detroit's own All-Star bigs. Paul Millsap grabbed another 13 boards for the Nuggets, though he shot only 2-of-10 from the floor. As a whole, it was a less-than-stellar offensive night for the Nuggets, who shot just 42.5 percent overall. However, their defense got the job done, holding Detroit to just 35 percent shooting.

Blake Griffin led the way for the Pistons with 29 points and 15 rebounds. Griffin attempted a game-high 31 shots, making 12. His strong performance was complemented by Andre Drummond, who added 18 rebounds and 13 points.

Detroit will host the Orlando Magic on Thursday evening, while the Nuggets will visit OKC.
