Ten teams share the win totals of 10.5 or higher, up from six teams at that mark heading into last season. That level of parity at the top suggests the market expects another wide-open race for the No. 1 seed in both conferences. It also means oddsmakers aren't confident enough to push teams above 10.5, even with rosters now largely set after the draft. The Ravens and Rams currently are the only teams set at 11.5 on DraftKings, though the over carries odds that still reflect the under as the more likely outcome for the Ravens. With the trade for Myles Garrett, odds on the Rams for win totals, Super Bowl winner, and NFC winner have all increased.
The Kansas City Chiefs have the most projected improvement with a win total sitting 4.5 wins higher than their 2025 record of six wins. On the flip side, the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots face the steepest projected decline, with their totals sitting 4.5 wins lower than their 2025 records.
Here are the win total overs that offer the most value heading into the 2026 season.
This is plus-money value on a Patrick Mahomes-led team that went just 6-11 last season due largely to injuries and negative variance in one-score games. The Chiefs were 3-9 in one-score games in 2025 after going 11-1 the year prior. The roster has been significantly retooled with Kenneth Walker, Mansoor Delane, and Emmett Johnson. If Mahomes returns to full health, this team has a floor of 10 wins. Getting plus-money on that proposition is an attractive entry point based on the pedigree of Mahomes and Andy Reid alone.
The Lions are essentially a coin flip to go over 10.5, and they should be favored in 13 to 14 games this year. Detroit went 9-8 in an injury-ravaged 2025, and a return to health should push them comfortably above this number. At near even money, this is one of the best values on the board. The fear here is the tough division, but this is a Lions team that didn't lose much from last year.
The defense alone gives this team a high floor, allowing just 19.1 points per game last season. The offense has Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley, and the draft additions of Makai Lemon and Jonathan Greenard bring upside. At +115, you're getting plus-money on a team that has gone to back-to-back NFC Championship Games and won a Super Bowl just two years ago. Yes, the loss of AJ Brown is impactful, but the Eagles did enough in the draft to make up for the loss and this is a team that can lean into their other stars.
Here are the win total unders that offer the most value heading into the 2026 season.
The Bears were one of the best stories of the 2025 season, winning the NFC North at 11-6 under Ben Johnson. But a deeper look reveals a 7-4 record in one-score games, suggesting significant positive variance. Regression in close games is one of the most reliable year-over-year trends in the NFL. With a tough NFC North that includes the Lions, Packers, and Vikings, expecting double-digit wins again is a tall order.
Denver was a pleasant surprise last season, but the Broncos and Patriots are facing the steepest projected declines, with their totals sitting 4.5 wins lower than their 2025 records. The Broncos were potentially one Bo Nix injury away from a Super Bowl berth, and while adding Jaylen Waddle was a smart move, the rest of the roster didn't see significant upgrades. The schedule gets tougher, and last year's run may have been the high-water mark for this group.
The Patriots made a magical Super Bowl run, but many analysts attributed much of their success to a favorable schedule. New England's 2026 slate is significantly harder, and the loss of several key contributors in free agency raises questions about depth. The addition of AJ Brown and Romeo Doubs to the receiver room certainly helps though.
For those who like to bet on underdogs, here are a few teams worth keeping an eye on.
The Bengals are the only team in the AFC North with coaching continuity after Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland all made changes. Joe Burrow is healthy and motivated, and the schedule includes favorable matchups against the Dolphins and Commanders. This team has the talent to push for 11 wins if things break right.
The Panthers won the NFC South last season and added impact defenders in Jaelan Phillips and Devin Lloyd. Another step forward from Bryce Young could push this team into the 8-to-9-win range, making the over look like solid value.
