Suns Smash Rockets, 127-91
The Phoenix Suns defeated the visiting Houston Rockets, 127-91, at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Friday.

Phoenix really set the tone in this game with a 46-26 first quarter, holding the lead for the final three quarters. While Houston got it to a six-point margin thanks to a 29-19 second quarter, the Suns completed their blowout thanks to a 62-36 second half. They actually won each of those three quarters by double-digit margins. The Suns ended up shooting 56 percent from the field and 48 percent from three-point range while holding the Rockets to 34 percent from the field and 23 percent from long range. In addition, Phoenix out-assisted Houston, 29-16, while out-rebounding them, 51-29.

The Rockets (33-19) only starter in double figures was James Harden, who tallied 32 points, two rebounds and five assists. Robert Covington had nine points and five rebounds. Austin Rivers led the bench with 14 points and three rebounds. Ben McLemore scored 13 points. No one else had more than six points or three assists.

The Suns (21-31) were led by Kelly Oubre Jr and his 39 points and nine rebounds on 14-of-19 from the field. Devin Booker accrued 33 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Deandre Ayton amassed 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals while Ricky Rubio generated five points and 10 assists. Cheick Diallo led the bench with 14 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.

Phoenix has to play again on Saturday, playing host to the Denver Nuggets. As for Houston, they return to action on Sunday when they return home to face the Utah Jazz.
